Pc running 15 30 on games and error message coming up saying: Internal error
location: ubuntuforums.com - date: May 12, 2013
My pc specs are:
proccesor: Intel® Core™2 Quad CPU Q8200 @ 2.33GHz × 4
graphics: Gallium 0.4 on AMD BARTS
but when i play css on even lowest graphics the fps is around 30 - 50 and it's laggy - I know it should be higher than that because this is a pretty good pc, especially if it's running counter strike source.
why is it so slow??
[SOLVED] mdadm error replacing a failed disk
location: linuxquestions.com - date: October 22, 2011
Hi Helpful Ubuntu Folks,
I have a four disk mdadm RAID5 on which one of the disk failed. The disk just completely died and was not visible by the OS. I powered down, took the disk out, restarted and left the array unstarted. I then bought a new disk and I'm now trying to add to the array and get the array back on its feet.
Here is what the "detail" command tells me:

error fetching interface information: Device not found.

I have just installed Ubuntu 7.04 in my ASUS laptop, my kernel version is 2.6. However when I type the command "ifconfig wlan0" it says:
wlan0: error fetching interface information: Device not found.
Note that I also get the exact same error when typing the command "ifconfig eth0"
eth0: error fetching interface information: Device not found
Bellow is the output of the command ifconfig -a:
lo Link encap:Local Loopback

I made an account here because honestly, I'm completely stumped by my problem.
I'm running Ubuntu 10.04 LTS on a Shuttle XPC with a Pentium 4 and 1GB DDR1 RAM.
Now, it worked fine (a bit slow, but it worked) until last night when my father said he heard a little power blip.
Anyway, every time I boot up the computer, it runs as normal (Shuttle XPC screen, EnergyStar screen) so I know it probably isn't a dead video card. But the error happens next. It took a few reboots to read the entire message, the thing flashed so fast, but it says "Error fetching interface information: Device not found" three times before the monitor reads "no signal input" and goes dead. I didn't hear the logon chimes from the speakers, either.
I hope you guys have better luck with this than I did. Please hurry though, my father loves his spider solitaire and computer games, and is pretty miffed that this computer quit working too (whole different story).

I am getting the following two errors and for the life of me can't find out why. Searches just bring up more questions.
If I run ifconfig from the command line I get this:
: error fetching interface information: Device not found
If I run nmap I get this:
Failed to find interface eth0 mentioned in /proc/net/route
The funny part is, everything seems to be working fine. I am connected to the Internet, I can connect to my LAN, my web server is working - so not sure what the problem is.
This is /proc/net/route
