Can't get OpenGL (games) application to run in FullScreen
location: ubuntuforums.com - date: April 23, 2008
Hi, I have a Dell Inspiron 1520 (laptop with a native resolution of 1280x800), running Ubuntu HH 8.04 and I can't seem to be able to run my games in full-screen mode. They either only start in a windowed mode or there are black bars around. I had the same problem in OpenSUSE before I switched to Ubuntu HH. I'm sure that I'm not the only one with this kind of problem...
My guess is that my video driver (proprietary 3d-enabled nvidia drivers) won't let any applications resize the resolution or something like that...
Anyways, any help would be appreciated.

How to mount .iso and install via Wine

How can I mount a specific ISO file, and run it via Wine?
I am running Ubuntu 10.04. I found something online, but it's not working. I was using this in Terminal, as root:
mount -o loop -t iso9660 riseofnations.iso /cdrom
Nothing happens after that. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
Edit: It's telling me it's already mounted - but I can't see it anywhere. It's not loading either. Any ideas?
[SOLVED] How to mount an iso image in wine (to act as a cd)
location: ubuntuforums.com - date: November 21, 2007
I've made an iso of my SC broodwar CD, and I'd like to be able to mount that as a CD and play SC broodwar without the disk (i often lose the disk AND I need two disks so that i can play on a lan network with my friend)
I've tried mounting it to the point /media/cdrom0 (my cdrom drive)[which was probably dangerous] and mounting it to /mnt/isos (a directory I created)
I know there is a way in wine to mount an iso to a virtual "D/:" drive in order to play without a disk, but I don't know exactly how to do that.
any help would be most appreciated.

Good App for Making PSX ISO Files?
location: ubuntuforums.com - date: July 5, 2006
I'd like to back up a couple of my favorite Playstation games now that I've discovered the joy that is ePSXe (it runs them VERY WELL but not perfectly from the discs). But the 'bad block' protection used on the discs seems to brilliantly destroy my hopes with all the burning apps I've got except K3B which I can't install because of missing dependancies (I had it in Breezy and I've got all my repositories in order so I don't know why this is the case). But anyway, I have no guarantee that it would do the job either.
Gnomebaker is fooled by the protection. Gcombust dosen't even see the disc.
What other applications should I try to make some ISO's of my games? I only want to play these on my own private system. I don't intend to distribute them in any way.
