This being the most recommended command, doesn't work. It says format is not supported.
Moreover I again tried the command :

location: linuxquestions.com - date: September 21, 2004
I've just installed Debian 3.0
I try to install xfce4 as the desktop manager but my "wajig install xfce" installed xfce3... so I added following apt source list to my source list:
deb ftp.de.debian.org/debian unstable main contrib non-free
deb ftp.de.debian.org/debian-non-US unstable/non-US main contrib non-free
deb ftp.de.debian.org/pub/debian testing main contrib non-free
deb ftp.de.debian.org/pub/debian-non-US testing/non-US main contrib non-free
*add http after deb :-)*
but this time I get following error when I do a wajig update:

youtube videos don't display since upgrade to 12.04
location: ubuntuforums.com - date: April 28, 2012
My system is 64-bit Ubuntu 12.04 using a Nvidia GeForce GTX 285M Graphics with 1GB GDDR3 Video Memory.
Since upgrading to Ubuntu 12.04, I can no longer see youtube videos in Firefox, Totem or Minitube.
I've included screenshots of what I see in Firefox.
When I right-click on the Firefox section of where the video should display, I see the following options: Copy, Open with "Movie Player", Fullscreen. When I choose Open with Movie Player, Totem opens and displays an error message which says: An Error occured. Location not found. Ive included a screenshot of the Totem error message as well.
Any suggestions on how I can determine why I can no longer see youtube videos?
Embedded YouTube videos don't work
location: ubuntuforums.com - date: May 22, 2010
Since the start of April, I've had some problems with embedded YouTube videos, no matter the site. I click Play, and I get a message saying "An error has occurred. Please try again later." (I may be paraphrasing the message a bit.)
I've purged and reinstalled the flashplugin-installer package at least five times, and it hasn't helped. I turned off AdBlock and FlashBlock, and the error message still happens.
I can view the videos without error on YouTube itself, so I never thought much of it. I figured it might have been due to the redesign around April 1st, but people and sites keep using embedded videos and I've seen no one else complain about errors, so I'm assuming it's a more isolated problem.
I'm using Kubuntu 10.04 with Firefox 3.6.3. Though the problem started in 9.10 and Firefox 3.5.x.
Can no longer watch any videos at Comedy Central

It's been a couple of months now & it's really irritating. Everything is (theoretically) up to date.
Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:22.214.171.124) Gecko/2009090216 Ubuntu/8.04 (hardy) Firefox/3.0.14
Error message I get: Error loading stylesheet. RSL http://media.mtvnservices.com/global...126.96.36.19958.swz failed to load. Error #2046
All help is appreciated.
On edit: it's not a Firefox problem, because I get the same error with Opera, and it works fine when I boot to windoze.
[SOLVED] Still getting Apache 403 after adding Directory directive to Alias
location: linuxquestions.com - date: January 8, 2012
I'm trying to create an Alias to a directory outside of the Apache root. This is the entire contents of my httpd.conf
Alias /bellnetwork/dev/static /home/josh/Dev/bell_network_stuff/git/dev/static_test
Allow from all
I also gave Group and Other read and execute permission on static_test
What more do I need to do?
firefox 11.0 in Ubuntu 11.10 lost capability to display videos during update manager
- date: April 17, 2012
I have Ubuntu versions 10.10 and 11.10 in partitions on an 80 GB internal hard drive. On initial installations (at widely different times, of course) they both played firefox news videos. Finally, after many updates, 10.10 quit...the video window opened but no rotating circle and no error message...that didn't bother me much because I could go to 11.10 if I really wanted to see that video. A couple of days ago after much nagging from 11.10, I finally relented and let it update... and now it behaves exactly like 10.10. The update contained something like 40 items and I have no idea what caused what. I saved all the *.log files that modified on that day, but there's a slew of them and I don't know which ones might give useful info. If there is a way out other than reinstalling 11.10 without updates, I'd appreciate any help.

Ubuntu 2.6.3232generic #62 SMP 2011 x8664 does not see my iPhone 3GS docked by USB
location: linuxquestions.com - date: June 24, 2011
Hello, I am running Ubuntu Linux 2.6.32-32-generic #62 SMP 2011 x86_64 GNU/Linux and it used to see my IPhone 3GS version 4.3.3(8J2), but ever since I ran new kernel update, it does not see my iPhone when plugged in via USB port. The USB port works because it charges, however Ubuntu does not know its even docked.
I did various searches and found old posts, but was wondering if anyone else ran across this problem and has found a reliable solution.
Banshee doesn't sync to iPhone 4
location: ubuntuforums.com - date: March 17, 2011
I'm running the latest Banshee from the PPA (banshee-1.9.5 as of this post). Banshee successfully sees and connects to my iPhone, however, when I try to sync music to it, Banshee fails with this error: "The mp3 format is not supported by the device, and no converter was found to cover it"
I have aacplusenc-0.17.5 installed as well as all the gstreamer bad/ugly packages. If found this Banshee bug report:
AAC Files converted to MP3 even though iPod supports AAC
which I suspect may be the problem but I haven't found a work-around.
Sometimes I'm actually able to get Banshee to actually sync the song to the iPhone (randomly) but then it's not available to play in the iPhone's music library. Going into the iTunes folder on the iPhone, I can see the songs in there as mp3 format.
Anyone know or have ideas about how to get Banshee working with the iPhone 4?
