Debian 7 DHCP Server installation problem
location: linuxquestions.com - date: June 2, 2013
Hey! I'm trying to install a DHCP service on Debian 7. As I have understood I have to install a package called "isc-dhcp-server." But when I try to install it in the terminal shows me the following error message:
"E: Unable to locate package isc-dhcp-server "
I checked the packages list available for Debian Wheezy and the package is on the list, however for some reason I am unable to find it. Also, I tried with Aptitude and Synaptic with no success. Does anyone know how I can fix this? Thanks a lot!
PS: I tried with dhcp3-server and couldn't find it either.

Ubuntu update problem
location: linux.com - date: May 8, 2012
I recently updated to 12.04, but now whenever I turn my computer on it goes into just that blank darkish purple screen right before the actual desktop appears and stays there. It will make a noise indicating that I need to login with my password but it is still bank. So I tried typinh my password in anyway, but it's still doing nothing. The only way I can use Ubuntu is to go through "recovery mode".

multiboot problem Hackintosh / Ubuntu / Haiku [SOLVED]
location: ubuntuforums.com - date: January 22, 2010
I have a question for other brave souls like me that think dual-booting is not enough. Problem is that most tutorials are for Windows plus other operating systems. I don't have Windows on any of my HDs.
--Something I forgot to mention, but brought to my attention in another thread. In case anybody doesn't know, Haiku OS is a new open source version of Be OS. It is not Linux based though.
SEE below for solution
My PC, which has been running Ubuntu and Haiku on two separate hard drives has just become a Hackintosh. I installed OS X 10.6.2 on my 3rd HD.(all internal) All Operating systems work, but never more than two at a time.
--OS X is on an 80GB HD, 2 partition. Main OS X & test OS X. GUID (HFS+ journaled)
I had been using Ubuntu / Haiku dual boot fine, using GRUB to choose between them. Ubuntu HD set in BIOS as 1st boot.
--When I installed just these two HDs, I had them as MBR (FAT32) before installing OSs. Finally realized they needed to be GUID (HFS+ non-j
[SOLVED] Serious Problem With UBUNTU 10.10 Install
location: linuxquestions.com - date: March 7, 2011
The problem i am having is this:
I am installing Ubuntu Server 10.10 on a server I have just purchased. The dificulty I am having is that it has been installing for 4 days now. I have an intel atom, 1 gb ddr2 RAM, and a 1TB Hard drive. The setup went ok at first, but during the partitioning, it was stuck at 33% for just under 15 Hours on the partition ext4. once it finally got past that it was stuck at 78% for 3 more hours after that it seemed ok but then when it got to 'select and install software' it has been stuck at 5% for 2.5 days now. then about an hour ago, the disk drive started spinning like crazy, the screen went black (console) and in the top left corner said '~Terminated' then I Got the BIOS and the installer started over. now im back at partitioning stuck at 33%.
What do i do??
