Android powered MyTouchWhat keeps killing battery?
location: linuxquestions.com - date: May 20, 2011
Normally, on my T-Mobile MyTouch (Magic) I only use about half my battery in a normal day, but sometimes, a random app will eat 60% of my battery within minutes. It is a different app each time. Sometimes it is even "cell standby" that shows up on the list. What could the underlying cause be?
Reviving a failed battery on my Android phone?
location: ubuntuforums.com - date: October 10, 2011
Hi,
Last night, I had my Motorola Charm charged to about 70%. Going to bed, as usual, I killed most of my apps and switched into flight mode. When I awoke this morning, I pressed the power button to wake the screen and check the time. Nothing happened. I also held power as if to turn on the phone. Nothing.
I plugged it in to charge. The green halo appeared around the mini-USB port in response. But nothing else happened. I left it plugged in for a bit, and I still couldn't wake it or power it on.
I swapped in the lower-capacity battery that T-Mobile provides. That works, fortunately. But I'd like to be able to use the other one. It was working until yesterday, although it had seemed to be dropping charge suspiciously fast. That makes me wonder if the battery could be conditioned to work again. Thoughts?

Can any Android Phones function without a battery?
location: ubuntuforums.com - date: May 30, 2010
I know that laptops can function without their batteries if they remain plugged into a wall. Doing something like this makes it fairly trivial to insert power monitoring equipment into their electrical circuits. I would like to do this with an Android Phone as part of a summer project I am doing for one of the professors in my university's computer science department, so I would like to take a survey of Android users here. Feedback from non-android users is appreciated as well.
Is it possible for you to remove your phone's battery, plug it into its charger and use it normally while tethered to a power outlet?
Please respond with the exact make and model of your phone. Any other information on its specifications (e.g. is it GSM/SIM unlocked? what processor does it use? ) would be appreciated as well.
