Apache: Method Not Allowed
location: linuxquestions.com - date: March 21, 2004
Im trying to save data into mySQL database, I made a simple code, and when I will submit the info, I get
Method Not Allowed
The requested method POST is not allowed for the URL /prueba/sign.php.
Apache/1.3.28 Server at server.host.com Port 80
I saved all files on /var/www/htdocs/prueba:
What could be the problem?
Thanks a lot.
Method Not Allowed: The requested method POST is not allowed for the URL /writedhcp.p

I recently installed Apache 1.3.28 and PHP on a new machine. I have it already running on another machine where everything is working very good.
However, on the new machine I created a webpage to uses PHP. Whenever I try to POST something I get a webpage saying:
Method Not Allowed: The requested method POST is not allowed for the URL /writedhcp.php3
In my index.htm file, I write: <form action="../writedhcp.php" method=post>
In my writedhcp.php, I jus write some values to a text file.
I have googled and searched on Linux Questions, but all of the proposed methods do not work for me. Also, my httpd.conf file is working on my other PC correctly with PHP. Did I do something wrong? Is Apache and PHP installed properly?
Thanks for all the efforts.
Here is my httpd.conf file:

Apache does not work on Opensuse
location: linux.com - date: April 15, 2012
I am using Opensuse for the first time.
I installed Apache via Yast, and when I went to tape (after I started apache server): http://localhost this error message is shown:
"You don't have permission to access the requested directory. There is either no index document or the directory is read-protected. "
Can you tell me why it does not work ?
error: sparse file not allowed (Btrfs)

When do you guys think this will be fixed? It seems as though the problem has spanned as far back as Ubuntu 9.10.
cannot boot maverick "error: sparse file not allowed"
location: ubuntuforums.com - date: May 28, 2012
I read this is a common bug, but no solution I found in the Internet works for me
In grub 1.97 after choosing Linux Ubuntu I get
"error: sparse file not allowed, press any key to continue"
hitting any key directs me back to the grub menu.
I ran a liveCD and commented out:
#cat << EOF
#if [ -s \$prefix/grubenv ]; then
# set have_grubenv=true
in /etc/grub.d/00_header and I still get the same error.
When did it start? I had three partitions with: Windows 7, Ubuntu 10.10 and Mint 12. Mint was installed the most recently, so the grub file loaded at the startup must have been from the Mint partition. Then I formatted the Mint partition, loosing my grub. Then I run some magic grub-rescuing commands from liveCD and everything was working fine for 2 days. Today it won't start due to this sparse file error.
this is my fstab file:
proc /proc proc nodev,noexec,nosuid 0 0
Ubuntu 12.04 Bootup sparse file not allowed
location: ubuntuforums.com - date: May 2, 2012
My apologies if this question is asked already - I tried searching the forum for keywords and got 'The answer given for the random question was incorrect' !
I installed 12.04 with a BTRFS boot partition and I'm getting the message 'sparse file not allowed' during boot-up. From what I gather this is a bug (grub related?) - just need to know if there is a fix out there for it.
