Apache SSLMutex Issue
location: linuxexchange.com - date: December 20, 2012
I am in the process of upgrading Apache version from 2.0 to 2.4. After 2.4 installed, I have faced below issue.
Invalid command 'SSLMutex', perhaps misspelled or defined by a module not included in the server configuration
AH00526: Syntax error on line 77 of /apache/conf/ssl.conf:
The line #77 in ssl.conf is "SSLMutex file:/apache/logs/ssl_mutex".
I have loaded mod_ssl and along with I have loaded below mod also but still I could not fix this.
LoadModule authn_core_module modules/mod_authn_core.so
LoadModule authz_core_module modules/mod_authz_core.so
LoadModule socache_dbm_module modules/mod_socache_dbm.so
LoadModule socache_shmcb_module modules/mod_socache_shmcb.so
NOTE: If I comment out the SSLMutex line in ssl.conf file then Apache is working including SSL port. I am afraid what will happen if SSLMutex issue is not resolved. Please suggest some solution.
Apache MaxClients Issue
location: linuxquestions.com - date: April 7, 2005
Thanks for coming by my post. The issue is that i have compiled and installed apache but i cant increase the Max Clients to more than 256. As i tried seraching in google and this site, i found out that there is some compilation option that i ll have to pass while compiling apache to be able to increase MaxClients to more than 256. I also found out that (though i m not sure) I have to modify some kernel config files to to be able to do that. I would be really thankful if you can post the compilation option needed for increasing the MaxClients in httpd.conf to more than 256. Also, if any kernel config files are to be modified, then please specify the filenames and the parameters that i ll have to modify...
I am using apache 1.3.33 and FreeBSD 4.10
Thank You in Advance,
Apache proxy issue
location: linuxquestions.com - date: August 13, 2014
I'm suddenly getting 503 service temporary unavailable errors on my proxy server (debian 6 + apache).
Rebooting the server fixes this issue but just for a limited time (few minutes).

Apache issue hosting a PHP application from IIS?
location: linux.com - date: March 13, 2014
We are starting to host our PHP website application in Amazon Web Services. The PHP website was originally hosted in IIS7 on our own server but we moved it now on an Amazon Linux instance. Okay, so the website is hosted now and its database is already linked to it. However, we are having this error when logging in to the website see image. But when we are using this http://54.193.xxx.xxx/tile/index.php?user_alias=Kmartin we are able to get in but most of the images don't load properly. Any idea?
I was able to speak with our developer and according to him we are using URL Rewrite rules in IIS before we move this site over to AWS. Do you think it has something to do with this? Please advise.
Apache aliases not working after upgrade (permissions issue on home folder)
location: ubuntuforums.com - date: October 28, 2013
I upgraded my desktop and laptop to Ubuntu 13.10 and now I can't access my development site anymore for a website I'm working on. I have Apache installed on both machines and both of them are giving me forbidden errors when I try and access them. Here are the specifics:
I have port 8001 on my switch forwarded to port 80 on this machine. When I visit this IP in my browser (http://my.ip.xx.xx:8001) I get the default Apache page:
This is the default web page for this server.
The web server software is running but no content has been added, yet.
So Apache is working and has access to the /var/www directory where these files are stored. I'm running my development site out of my home directory, /home/deemar/NetBeansProjects/mywebsitename.com.
Here is my alias setup:
Alias /mywebsitename /home/deemar/NetBeansProjects/mywebsitename.com

Web server configuration and issue (CentOS, Apache, PHP, MySQL)
location: linuxquestions.com - date: January 7, 2011
Hi LQ peeps,
This is my first time to set up a production web server and i got some few questions on our migrations:
1. Our website from the Web Hosting company already gaining 5000000 hits/month and 35000 unique visitors/month, problem is we only have 2x4mb dedicated line here in the office and one IBM x3650 m3 for our LAMP, you think guys its enough to handle that kind of traffic if we start moving our web server here in the office?
2. If I register www.example.com to GoDaddy for example, do i still need to setup a DNS (BIND) server on our side? Any thoughts about this?
3. This is my current Apache config: Apache/2.2.3 (CentOS) DAV/2 mod_fcgid/2.3.6 mod_auth_kerb/5.1 PHP/5.1.6 mod_python/3.2.8 Python/2.4.3 mod_ssl/2.2.3 OpenSSL/0.9.8e-fips-rhel5 mod_perl/2.0.4 Perl/v5.8.8 with PHP eAccelerator. Anything to share to increase the performance of the web server?
Thank you and Best Regards

Apache 2 XML issue
location: ubuntuforums.com - date: May 17, 2008
My first post....so if its not in the right place forgive me. I switched from Redhat to Ubuntu. Got everything going except one thing.
I have Apache2 installed. If you go to http://www.DetroitsTalking.com/orca in Firefox you will see the header and footer of the document. I know this is an XML issue. I have tried everything I can think of. Can someone please help me to solve this? This is my last remaining issue with my move from Redhat.
Thanks in advance for your help.
