What does 'Veuillez veiller sur vos reves' mean? It's a song that I love. I remember reading it has something to do with dreams, but I'm probably wrong haha.
Thanks for any help
Japanese to English translation (using Roman/Latin characters)
location: ubuntuforums.com - date: March 13, 2009
Although there are many translation tools on the web to translate Japanese characters to English[1], I am wondering if there any tools that can translate the Latin/Roman version of a Japanese word, such as
miki
kohana
jiu jitsu
Into English:
future
little flower
gentle art
and so on...
I know of a website that can translate Japanese words from Roman/Latin variants into their actual characters[2], but it doesn't really help when I don't know what the letter mean!
I appreciate your help!

Need Finnish to English translation.
location: linuxquestions.com - date: April 14, 2004
This hasn't much to do with unix. So I should be posting in the correct forum.
Like the subject says: Any Finnish (talking) people that can translate the following for me:
Niin, jonkin sortin kotisivut nämä varmaankin ovat. Tai ainakin näin pitäisi
olla. Tällaisella apologialle tulee aina aloittaa. Sivut ovat jatkuvan
rakennustyön alla, jonkinlaisessa oudossa limbossa, jossa normaalit
luonnonlait tai aika-avaruusjatkumot eivät päde. Mutta katselepa
ympärillesi, varo ansakuoppia ja löydä kulta-aarteet.
No idea what it says, not even if its 'decent'.
What's in it for you?? My everlasting gratitude
Need English translation of Spanish Linux instructions
location: linuxquestions.com - date: August 26, 2004
I've found a driver for my ADSL modem that I am trying to install on my SUSE Linux system, but it is in Spanish. I can understand enough Spanish to see that it is probably what I need, but I would like to have it translated into English.
Can someone here who knows Linux (I assume you all do!) do the translation or tell me how I might get it done? It is a single A4 sheet of text.
How to save a webpage that gets translated to English by Google Chrome
location: linuxexchange.com - date: January 1, 1970
Take any Chinese page - say http://www.worldjournal.com/
When I open it in Google Chrome, It translates it to English. I want to save it (ideally in Word or PDF, but HTML may just do) and sent it to my colleague in English. If I save the page as-is, Google Chrome saves it in Chinese and not English. Any way to save it in English instead?
Thanks in advance
"ush", my plain english, inteligent shell translation layer idea.

excuse me while i rant and daydream.
maybe someone will take the idea and run with it.
isn't it time we got working on a command line language that could be calmly and casually used by voice command?
ok ok, i know.. before everyone pitches in with the "but voice reccognition is notoriously skiffy to get to work... especially with local dialects" i'll pre-emptively counter with...
BUT COMMAND LINE IS DYING!
now though the niche of 'nix geeks who have been brought up on bash can do very well with command line, the majority of folks arn't likely to suddenly be motivated to learn it. and that is a problem for those of us who are learning or already ahead of the curve. do we want world of users stuck to something gooey? (gui)
i say sci fi has already shown us the way....
yep, it's another star trek analogy...
a rather obvious one.
lets make the command line so inteligent and plain english that gui becomes the one that's "too difficult to bother
FOSS translation tools? English to Spanish, Spanish to Latin, Latin to Icelandic, etc
location: linuxquestions.com - date: June 19, 2006
Does there exist some standard framework for translations in the FOSS world? Not a specific tool to translate from one language to another but something wich is designed so that new languages can be added to it easily.
What's the status of translation tools in the FOSS world? I'm interested in using a tool to translate English to Icelandic and Icelandic to English, and/or work on adding Icelandic to some standard framework.
EDIT
I'm also interested in a English-Icelandic, Icelandic-English dictionary, which is not designed to translate whole texts but to translate single words, again Icelandic does not have to exist in this tool but it would be interesting if the tool is some kind of a standard framework wich new languages can be added to.
English to Spanish Translation

Would someone mind checking my English to Spanish translation. This is for some software that I am writing. This translation is intended for es_MX (Mexico) locale, but I learned Spanish in Honduras and don't use it that often. Let me know if there are any corrections you think I should make, thanks.
