atheros qcwb335 bluetooth not working
location: linuxquestions.com - date: December 23, 2013
I've got a HP Pavilion Sleekbook 15-b110sq. First thing was to wipe win8.1 and second was to install Slackware64_14.1 on it (full install from slackware64-14.0-install-dvd.iso). Then made it multilib following alien's tutorial. Everything works right but the bluetooth. This laptop has a qualcomm wifi+bluetooth named qcwb335. The bluetooth seems to be found but when I try to find my mobile phone (it's a se s500i) or any other bluetooth enabled devices, it starts scanning but never finds anything (also tried to find the laptop on my mobile phone with same result).

Ubuntu, Vaio and Atheros ethernet & wifi not working
location: ubuntuforums.com - date: November 17, 2011
I've bought yesterday a Sony Vaio in an special offer on a commerce of muy city. It comes with Windows 7, but I wan to run it with Ubuntu like my other computers.
Once again, I found problems with network drivers, but this time none of web devices works, no wifi but neither ethernet.
On lspci only the Ethernet device is showed, but not the wifi one so I gather this information from windows 7 device administrator:
WiFi: Atheros AR9485WB-EG
Ethernet: Atheros AR8151PCI-E
I need a solution for the WiFi at least.
I've problems in the past with two other laptops wifi devices, but I managed to solve it using ethernet interface.
But in this case, since I've no ethernet device, I cannot use aptitude nor apt-get for install packages like buildessential.
So... what can I do??
