I'm running Ubuntu 9.10 and have installed LAMP. However, whenever I try logging into phpMyAdmin, it rejects any login/password combination I can think of. I don't recall setting up a user/password for phpMyAdmin.
I don't know if this would work, but should I delete htpasswd.setup and recreate htpasswd?

Accidentally entered a password for keychain, now suffer - every time you connect to an Internet request pops up the password. And how do the reverse operation - reset the password - do not know. In Ubuntu everything is done simply through the program from the "Keys and encryption", all the zest of the matter is that I have and there is lubuntu point "and Encryption Keys" no. Folder ~ / .gnome2/keyrings also discovered. Established a seahorse, but he does not see the existing keys What to do?

Using SystemRescueCD to reset password
location: linuxquestions.com - date: October 29, 2014
My Brother was our IT man and he passed away and no one has a clue about linux. The machine is locked out using XScreenSaver and what I need is to find out what is my boot partition so I can reset the root password using SystemRescueCD or any other means and change the setting on the xscreensaver or just get rid of the xscreensaver for now.
Following the instructions on the SystemRescueCD web page I loaded the CD and turned the machine on and went to the GUI to find out what the partitions were. However the labels were non-informative and the flags were blank.
This is a dump of fdisk -l

automatically reset root password after reboot
location: ubuntuforums.com - date: February 21, 2012
I need to synchronize the root password daily after a system reboot. It's a long story but suffice to say, the root password needs to change daily and the client is aware of what the password needs to be.
My thoughts were to write a C Program to do it and give it sudo access.
Anybody got anything better? Ideally, a java program that launches after the reboot would do it but I'm flexible here.
