Best BT client
location: ubuntuforums.com - date: November 9, 2010
I just installed ubuntu 10.10 64 Bit. I am new to linux.
I tried transmission, which comes by default, but its not that appealing as i have used utorrent a lot in windows.
What do you people suggest, utorrent in wine or some other alternative ?
My main priority is tweaking like upload speed etc.
Is it true that utorrent doesnt work to its best performance in wine ?
Any help would be appreciated.
best email client (read outlook replacement)
location: linuxquestions.com - date: April 7, 2005
Hey,
I am looking to move entirely to linux (currently using thunderbird -Lin-/lockout, imean outlook -Win-), but first I need to be able to do something. That something is us .pst file, or something of the sort. Is there a linux mail client that can store local files for copying email to and organize however I wish? What's the best choice or is it just a matter of personal taste?
Thanks,

[SOLVED] Best email client for moderate to large email database (Evolution, thunderbird, kmail, Claws mail)
location: linuxquestions.com - date: August 18, 2011
Hi, I am currently using evolution under Mint (XFCE) on a dell latitude E6500 laptop. I have tried Kmail, Thunderbird and actually giving Claws Mail a test run. I have to frequently consult a local copy of past emails (my work brings me to remote area without internet). Over time the email database has grown rather big (4 Gb) and it seem to be making evolution slow to start and search through message. Is there an alternative that would be able to manage a large numbrer of mails or a way to improve the speed?
Thanks.

best Bittorrent client?
location: linuxquestions.com - date: September 8, 2006
i'm sure it has been asked a million times, but i cant seem to find a good btclient for me.
When I used windows I used uTorrent..which was excellent.
However, no linux uTorrent yet so...
What do you all consider to be good btclients?
Exclude:
- BitTorrent++,
- Nova Torrent,
- TorrentStorm.
- Old editions of Bitlord
- Azureus (unless YOU REALLY THINK THIS ONE IS AMAZING!!)
- Mainline (vanilla bittorrent client)
- Any non-linux clients
TIA
