[SOLVED] centos iso download install q
location: linuxquestions.com - date: August 8, 2012
I am wishing to download the 5.8 centOS 5.8 64 bit iso.
In the past i have used the 7 cd set - but this time I wish to do the dvd.
I am puzzled by the following: the iso is in 2 parts
1of 2 , 2of 2.
my Q is can i make a dvd of the 1 of 2 and use that dvd for the install?
what is the 2 of 2 ( 60n MB ) for?
maybe i do not get out much -- but an iso that is multiPart confuses me.
and if you are wondering why 5.8 not the newest .... well I am replacing a webserver that is/was 5.8 so -- i am going for sameNess. mostly the php vers.
Which CentOS 6 download is most like standard RHEL 6?
location: linuxquestions.com - date: November 13, 2011
My Box: AMD quad-core, 64-bit, 4GB RAM.
I would like to use CentOS to help me learn RHEL 6.x. I may even take the RHCE, someday.
There are several different CentOS 6 downloads: DVD, CD, Network, Minimal, etc.
Which CentOS 6 download would be most RHEL 6? I want the install to me as much like installing RHEL as possible.
Any other tips for learning RHEL 6.x would be appreciated.

[SOLVED] Download CentOS 5.5 DVD
location: linuxquestions.com - date: May 24, 2010
I am trying to download CentOS 5.5 DVD from here.
I have tried it number of times, but after 20-25 mins it gives me an error that "source file cannot be read".
Has anyone else tried to download it from same link, although it is showing me 215 downloads.
Also, I would appreciate if someone else can provide alternate links (not torrents), I tried google-ing it, but couldn't found any DVD direct links.
Can not activate AtMail (1.05) as webmail client under Plesk 10.4.4 / CentOS 6
location: linuxquestions.com - date: March 7, 2013
I'm not sure this is the right place to post this question, but I'll try. I have a CentOS 6 VPS with Plesk 10.4.4 on it.
i have AtMail as one of the options to use as webmail client, but when I select it for one of my email accounts, it opens a window with the Standard Plesk Server Page. Horde works very well instead.
Can anyone shed some light into this. I haven't really done much with this VPS, other than creating few subscriptions to host 3 4 domain names and 3 email accounts. That's all I've done. Haven't installed anything new of fiddled around with anything.
Thanks a lot in advance!

[SOLVED] Download GRUB2 for CentOS 6
location: linuxquestions.com - date: June 8, 2012
I am using a CentOS 6.2 64 Bit server (VMWare Virtual Machine).
While browsing some linux sites, I found that using GRUB2, we can have /boot on LVM/RAID. Just wanted to try my hands on it, but I am unable to find any GRUB2 RPM file.
I cannot update by GRUB too through any third party RPM repositories since I do not have an internet connection on the Linux box.
It would be great hep if anyone can provide links to download GRUB2 RPM suitable for CentOS 6.
