How to choice icon theme for Clementine?
location: ubuntuforums.com - date: July 18, 2012
I love Clementine but i hate that it doesn't automatically use the same icon theme that is set for Unity/Gnome shell. I don't know why and haven't been able to figure out how to make it do so. Anyone know how to do this?
Conky Clementine Python Script
location: ubuntuforums.com - date: December 14, 2010
ArchLinux : Package support is present in the AUR. All my packages can be seen here: http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?SeB=m&K=kaivalagi
Ubuntu/Debian : All the script packages have now been copied into the Conky Companions PPA. Any package updates will be provided by the team through this new ppa. The ppa can be found here: https://launchpad.net/~conky-companions/+archive/ppa. To use this ppa first delete the old ppa files using this:
sudo rm /etc/apt/sources.list.d/m-buck* && sudo rm /etc/apt/sources.list.d/conkyhardcore*
Then follow the modified first post instructions for the scripts
This is a simple script to display what is current playing in Clementine. The script talks to Clementine using dbus, and allows the outputting of track info and the use of templates...
There is a README with the install, I suggest you give it atleast a quick once over! It can be found in the installation folder, normally following the path of /usr/share/conky<scrip
Problems with Xubuntu 14.04, Clementine, and ALAC
location: ubuntuforums.com - date: August 16, 2014
I was wondering if you could help me with me a persistent issue I am facing as I cannot solve it on my own or through google-fu.
Running Xubuntu 14.04, with Clementine 1.2 as my preferred media player. For the life of me, I cannot get my ALAC (Apple Lossless Audio Codec, left over from my time as an iDevice user) files (stored as .m4a, MPEG-4 audio) to play without an error that simply says "Your GStreamer installation is missing a plug-in.".
I was wondering if anyone has experienced this and if they could point me to what package needs to be installed. Here are the gstreamer packages I currently have on my system:
ii gstreamer0.10-alsa:amd64 0.10.36-1.1ubuntu2 amd64 GStreamer plugin for ALSA
ii gstreamer0.10-fluendo-mp3:amd64 0.10.23.debian-3 amd64 Fluendo mp3 decoder GStreamer 0.10 plugin
ii gstreamer0.10-nice:amd64 0.1.4-1
clementine & nvidia drivers
location: ubuntuforums.com - date: October 12, 2011
If you are using clementine with the current 11.10 nvidia current drivers then it's likely that when exiting clementine 1 cpu will get pegged @ 100% or so.
If so & until there is an nvidia upgrade or some other fix it can be 'fixed' by -
gksudo gedit /usr/share/applications/clementine.desktop
Edit the Exec= line to look like this
Exec=env __GL_NO_DSO_FINALIZER=1 clementine
Clementine Needs 'THIS'
location: ubuntuforums.com - date: July 6, 2011
ok, ppl never really realize the little comfort of music player makes it rock rather than fancy UI. Oh I'll use silly UI with cool easy of use features any day.
Now THIS is what Clementine needs to up its score:
SAVING LYRICS INTO MUSIC FILE CONTAINER.
Check here! http://code.google.com/p/clementine-...detail?id=1110
I think its called ID Tagging Lyrics or so. But my God, this feature and smart playlist is what hooks me to Guayadeque Player.
Please go to the link above and star/vote for this feature. Without it, to me, Clementine is missing salt in the dish.
Fixing text spacing in Clementine last.fm tags

Ubuntu 14.04, Clementine version 1.2.3
Basically as you can see the tag text, and the play statstics text is truncated for some reason. The wiki information and lyrics come in perfect, but for some reason these other bits of data come in slightly truncated and is quite annoying. Ideas?
I've played around in the Clementine config file and the QT4-config program but had no real luck. Adjusting the text/theme within Clementine don't change it either.
P.D.: Clementine usa Qt...
Clementine Cover Manager
location: ubuntuforums.com - date: August 19, 2011
So I have finally decided to let Amarok 1.4 go (though it will be missed). Amarok 2 just won't work for me, so I have been happily using Clementine now since I upgraded to Natty.
However one thing that bugs me that I can't figure out how to do- Clementine seems to only let you set album art for the currently playing track. Maybe I haven't found the option, but I am not aware of a "Cover Art Manager" a la Amarok 1.4s
So is there a script to set the cover art, or have I just missed the option in Clementine?
Pulseaudio no sound with flash and clementine?
location: ubuntuforums.com - date: August 25, 2011
Using Kubuntu 11.10 - upgraded from Natty.
There's no sound playing with ie. youtube videos , or with clementine - in clementine i tried to change output module , but that didn't help, only removing pulseaudio helped. Note that audio was working fine with Amarok (using phonon-vlc). Can anyone reproduce this?
Clementine player problems
location: ubuntuforums.com - date: February 19, 2013
Hello my fellow Ubuntu users. I run on Xubuntu 12.04 LTS. I am having problems with my Clementine music player. Problem starts every time I boot my OS. It rescans the library and then it says its empty. So I have to add media all over again every time. I suspect problem is cause my media files are on different partition, but it shouldn't matter? Please help me, I found nothing good on net so far, you are my last resort, pls help.
Thanks in advance.
