pppoe server+error 619+ppp2.4.3
location: linuxquestions.com - date: January 23, 2006
I have fedora 4 machin and it has ppp-2.4.2-7.i configure this machin as pppoe server with pppoe_server command.
Then I go to Windows XP machine and initiate a PPPoE connection. It works good.
But, for RADIUS support,I install ppp-2.4.3 (because ppp-2.4.2-7 doesn't have radius.so and radttr.so)but Windows cannot get a connection. It hangs at "Verifying Username and Password"with error no 619.
I reinstalled ppp-2.4.2-7 and pppoe-server worked good.
then,i found ppp-2.4.2-b3.i386 (it has radius.so and radattr.so)and installed this package.and run pppoe server.then i go to windows xp machine and initiate a pppoe connection.but i have error 721 in xp(error 721:the remote computer did not respond for futherassistance...)
please inform me about this problem
Can not connect to pptp server Error:691
location: linuxquestions.com - date: May 6, 2009
I am having a problem connecting to a Ubuntu server 8.04 running pptpd from Windows XP computer.
When this was setup, 2 clients were put into the chap-secrets file. About a month later I added five more clients. I had tested one of the original clients, successfully, using Windows XP VPN network connection. However, I have been unable to connect with the new clients, albeit the the original clients still connect.
The authentication is MS-CHAPv2
My sense is that I have missed something in the setup of the new clients, particularly since the original clients still work. I can't display the chap-secrets file, since the passwords are in current use. The file seems to be constructed properly I use tabs to separate the entries, and have put quotes around passwords that have ASCII characters in them. To no avail. There are 3 extra lines at the end of the file.
One article suggested that the domain(workgroup) plus \\ should be added to the client name, but this is not the case for th
subversion + debian + dav + apache = 500 Internal Server Error
location: linuxquestions.com - date: October 6, 2009
I followed this tutorial http://www.debuntu.org/2006/05/20/54...pache2-and-dav
Instead of editing /etc/apache2/mods-available/dav_svn.conf, I used /etc/apache2/conf.d/subversion.conf that got like this:

Apache2 + modauthpgsql = 500 Internal Server Error on Debian Lenny
location: linuxquestions.com - date: July 5, 2009
I'm setting up a VPS running Debian Lenny + Apache 2 + PostgreSQL 8.3. It is hosting a Drupal website, and I want to use the user accounts in the Drupal database in PostgreSQL to run the authentication for other web directories.
Here's the config I have for one my web directories used for a svn repo:
[SOLVED] Win 7 pptp client to Debian pptpd server failing.
location: linuxquestions.com - date: February 13, 2013
I'm trying to link up a win 7 client to my debian pptpd server but it's failing ever time I connect.
If I connect without encryption it will work, but obviously unencrypted.
Below is the log file of the connection:
Can't get perl scripts to work (500 internal server error) on a tuxlite LAMP stack (Debian 6 Squeeze)
location: linuxexchange.com - date: February 8, 2013
Does anyone who has experience with Tuxlite know how to get Perl scripts working? I've tried many, many things from tutorials on the web about getting Perl scripts to work with Apache without success. I keep getting a 500 internal server error. I'm allowing .cgi and .pl scripts in .htaccess.
My script is a hello world script
#!/usr/bin/perl print "Content-Type: text/html\n\n"; print "Hello World.";
Setting up a Debian 7 server
location: ubuntuforums.com - date: July 11, 2013
I have some general questions about setting up a Debian 7 server for home use. I was going to build a server using old hardware but today someone gave me an older Dell Pentium 4 1.8ghz system with 1.5Gb RAM, 80GB hard drive, and 10/100 NIC. I assume this would be enough to run Debian server but I was wondering if there would be any advantage to using something like a dual CPU motherboard. I could also get a case that will hold multiple hard drives should I decide to go with a RAID array.
The main thing I would use the server for would be as a proxy/firewall but I would also like to learn some Apache and MYSQL administration. I won't be using it to do any "real work" but I also don't want it running so slow that it's a pain to use. I don't mind spending a little money if it would make a difference. For instance, I have a basic D-Link broadband router (EBR-2310) that I'll be using to connect another desktop and laptop. Do you think this would be enough or should I purchase a
Zentyal File Server Error
location: linuxquestions.com - date: July 28, 2013
I have been using Zentyal 2.0 as a file server with the following file sharing method,
And created group as managers, group1, group2 with the file sharing permission as follows
managers --> /server
group1 --> /server/Folder1
group2 --> /server/Folder2
The above settings was working fine. The same setup is not working with Zentyal 3.0. The managers group only could access /server, the other groups couldn't access their folders respectively. Any idea how to implement the above setup in Zentyal 3.0?
