How long will we wait for Firefox 26
location: linuxquestions.com - date: December 19, 2013
Hey out there;
I saw that Fireox 26 is ready to be downloaded. I was wondering a couple things; can I download it an install it on my Mageia using 'urpmi' or am I going to have to wait until the Mageia Community decides to upgrade Firefox.
I presently have "Firefox ESR version 24.1.1" . Am I far off to think I am going to be using this versikon of Firefox for a LOOOONNNNGGG time and I may as well forget about installing a newer version or is their hope?

How long will Fsck take to fix my flash drive? vfat drive, Fedora 20 computer.
location: linuxquestions.com - date: May 20, 2014
I wonder whether you could help with a query:--
I have a flash drive of 64 GB with a bunch of corrupt files on it (all in a single directory). I asked fsck to scan the drive and it offered to fix this directory, noticing that it is corrupt. How long should it take?
The size of the corrupt directory is confusing -- file manager claims that it is around 50 GB (which is probably nonsense because, with the other data, that would exceed the capacity of the flash drive. File manager, for 'Properties' shows the memory-usage pie chart shows that I would expect prior to corruption, a bunch of data with a little space (around 53 GB), but claims that the drive contains 103.1 GB in total (on a 64 GB drive!).
So basically, fsck is scanning what claims to be 50 GB of data (but was around 2 GB before it corruped). It's been working for around 8 hours, you could fry an egg on my laptop's heat-sink and fsck is running on around 99% CPU.
I'm using a Thinkpad X60 (32-bit, Fedora
How long will this take?

I recently purchased 2 USB 1.5TB hard drives for my Popcorn hour. I want to clone the master drive to the slave drive using gparted on the Ubuntu livecd. I went through the motions, select source partition ---> copy, select destination partition ---> paste. Answer all the warning and click the green arrow (apply button).
How long should I expect this operation to take? I do not see a progress bar so I'm not sure it is even working?
Is it possible I did something wrong? Can I cancel the operation?
Thanks for the help guys.
How long will GNOME take to install?
- date: July 12, 2013
I used the command sudo apt-get instal gnome-session-fallback, and now the terminal is filling with a bunch of stuff. It's been like ten minutes, and I'd just like to know if I have much time ahead.
Actually, now it says "Idconfig deferred processing now taking place", then "Processing triggers for menu..." and underneath that "[email protected]
:~" but no additional text is appearing. Now what do I do???
Could I, by the way, have put in the wrong command for installing GNOME? I don't know much about command line, so something could've gotten by me probably without much difficulty.
And how do I remove everything this command may have installed, if it comes to that? Would I need to enter another command in the terminal, or is there another way?
