[SOLVED] Ubuntu Will NOT Start
location: linuxquestions.com - date: June 6, 2011
Hi, everyone. I am dualbooting Ubuntu and Windows on my laptop. Everything was working until I tried to get 2 finger scrolling. I looked up how to get it to work, and found: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=516798
I tried what switchcode said in post #8, even had to go to recovery mode, but now Ubuntu doesn't boot. I select it from the boot menu, it starts to boot, then turns off. I am still able to boot to recovery mode, though. Is there a way that I can fix this without a fresh install? I have some important files there, and programs that I don't want to have to reinstall. Any help would be much appreciated.

ssh will not accept password
location: ubuntuforums.com - date: January 31, 2011
Hello,
I'm trying to ssh remotely into my machine. I installed openssh-server and openssh-client, but I'm getting a strange error, where my password is not allowed. I looked at an old forum post
http://ubuntuforums.org/archive/index.php/t-298504.html, but none of the solutions seem to work.
Has anybody stumbled upon this after a fresh installation of ubuntu 10.10?
Thanks!
new kernel will not download correctly
location: ubuntuforums.com - date: September 26, 2012
Hello,
For the last several days, I have been updating my system using apt-get, and have been getting an error that the latest kernel update will not download properly. I am using Kubuntu 12.04, KDE 4.9.1. The terminal output is below, from the point the kernel has been downloaded. Any suggestions greatly appreciated. FYI, I am not afraid to go digging around in my system, but please be as specific as possible if offering any suggestions.

Files will not play if copied via ssh to iPhone in Ubuntu
location: ubuntuforums.com - date: May 29, 2009
Hi,
I seem to be having a problem with my iPhone 3G and Ubuntu, whilst using SSH. When I copy files via SSH to the iPhone, the ringtones show up, but don't play. They are in the correct format:AAC from mp3 (then edited the AAC extension to m4r) also in the correct folder too. The same goes for any music file, which is transfered via SSH. The songs just skip or don't play at all.
When I use XP,(VM) it has no such problem. Does anyone else have this problem?
SSH remote login will not work
location: linuxquestions.com - date: September 10, 2013
Hi, this has been a problem for me for some time now. I have a clearwire modem, and I've followed a youtube tutorial to open up my ports for my minecraft server, however it doesn't seem to work when I simply want to focus on one specific port rather than every port on my router. (EX: Begin 1, End 65535). My OS is Archlinux, and here is my nmap output.
