Docker Quickstart Terminal fails to start VirtualBox VM in Windows 10
location: linuxexchange.com - date: January 1, 1970
I've tried several times to start the Docker VM via the Docker Quickstart Terminal. After deleting the default virtual machine in VirtualBox I receive the following output
Creating Machine default...
Running pre-create checks...
Creating machine...
(default) OUT | Creating VirtualBox VM...
(default) OUT | Creating SSH key...
(default) OUT | Starting VirtualBox VM...
Error creating machine: Error in driver during machine creation: exit status 1
Looks like something went wrong... Press any key to continue...
To troubleshoot further, I attempted to start the default machine in the VirtualBox GUI directly using Start > Headless Start, as suggested in other Docker issues. The startup failed and I received an error dialog box with the content:
Failed to open/create the internal network 'HostInterfaceNetworking-VirtualBox Host-Only Ethernet Adapter' (VERR_INTNET_FLT_IF_NOT_FOUND).
Failed to attach the network LUN (VERR_INTNET_FLT_IF_NOT_FOUND).
Result Code:
E_FAIL (0x80004005)

I have linux mint 13 need help with get oracle virtualbox VM Windows xp online
location: linuxquestions.com - date: July 2, 2012
I recently changed my operating system on my laptop to Linux Mint 13(Maya Cinnamon). In order to install certain programs and games, I installed VirtualBox. The problem is that no matter what I do, I can't seem to connect to my home network to get the VirtualBox operating system to go online. Using Oracle VM VirtualBox Manager, I have changed the Adapter to be attached to NAT, with Adapter Type Intel PRO/1000 T Server (82543GC) with cable connected not checked. When I boot the VM (Windows XP), I go to Start>Control Panel>Network Connections, LAN or High-Speed Internet says 'enabled Intel Pro/1000 Server...When I try to open my IE browser, it says, 'No connection to the inernet is currently available...In the same folder, Under 'Incoming', it says Incoming Connections- No clients connected. What should I try now?

[SOLVED] Anyone using Virtualbox running WIndows 10?
location: linuxquestions.com - date: January 9, 2016
Hi all,
So, my old hard drive died and I just got a new one. Naturally, I'll be putting Slackware on the new drive as the computer's primary OS. My kids need Windows for a couple of programs that they use, and I have a few games that I like to play that need windows.
In the past, Wine's performance has been a bit spotty, so I'm thinking of loading Windows into Virtualbox. Does anyone here have Windows 10 running in Virtualbox under Slackware? If so, how well does it run?
Thanks,
ModernIE VM Windows 10 for Parallels won't run
location: linuxexchange.com - date: January 1, 1970
I'm attempting to get the Modern IE VM for Windows 10 with IE 11 to run in Parallels 10.2 on Mac OS X 10.10.3. I have downloaded it multiple times, using both the single zip and multiple file methods. When I start it I get
Recovery Your PC/Device needs to be repaired.
The digital signature couldn't be verified.
File: \Windows\system32\winload.exe
Error code: 0xc0000428
Press Enter to try again. Press F8 for Startup Settings.
No action that I can take will allow this to function.
I should note that I have most (all?) of the other VMs installed, and they all work fine.
Start a VirtualBox VM as a Service
location: ubuntuforums.com - date: February 19, 2008
Hello All,
I've been searching around trying to figure out how to run a VirtualBox virtual machine at boot. I found many articles on how to install and remove services. I've also found articles on running a VM from the command line, which is all well and good, but I haven't found how to run a command at boot.
A similar question was asked here, in the forums, but the initial question on how to start on boot was never answered. Basically, all I want to do is run this command at boot:
Code:
VBoxVRDP -startvm "XP"
The problem is that the command does not immediately drop back to the prompt, like a service/daemon does. So how does one go about something like this? Thanks in advance for your help.

location: ubuntuforums.com - date: July 27, 2012
Hello,
After installing ubuntu 12.04 (32bit) via live-cd and wubi, on a asus laptop (A55VD-SX030V, efi, windows 7 pre-installed, added linux and extended boot entry using windows easyBcd) i have the following result.
* Windows boot loader is started and immediately after boot and the loader menu shows windows 7, linux (the live one and wubi one) and the extended boot
* Windows 7 works fine
* All other menu result in a *.mbr file that is missing or corrupt error
* Disabling efi in the bios does not change a thing
* When booting the with the super grub 2 disk
* i can find and start the grub2 config in sda6 (installed with the live-cd)
* i can start&run ubuntu
* when trying to run windows from here i get error
Boot repair does not fix the system.
Boot summary info (bootRepair):

Fresh Ubuntu 13.10 server build with all the latest patches, installed Xen 4.3 and XCP-XAPI. Got Xenbr0 working properly and created an LVM storage repository and a CIFS ISO repository.
I can create VM's no problem at all but whenever I try to start them I get the following error from the log. Only Windows VM. The error comes up almost instantly when trying to start it. Not sure where to go to from here. Any help appreciated.
