ubuntu on nintendo DS
location: ubuntuforums.com - date: April 28, 2010
i was just wondering if this was possable if i could run ubuntu on my nintendo DS lite, i know that there is a linux for the ds, im fairly sure the graphics in the ds should hold up for ubuntu and you can buy extra RAM for your ds and with it running on an R4 card you can expand the memory via micro SD card up to about 10GB (i am currently using an 8 GB micro sd card) which is more then enough to store ubuntu on, altho the only thing that could possably stop it from running is the cpu becouse acroding to wikipedia it has "one 67.028 MHZ and one 33.514 MHZ ARM7" (i do know that you sometimes have to take everything that wikipedia tells you with a pinch of salt ).
again im just wondering if this is at all possable to do.
many thanks in advance xDxD

Nintendo DS with Android

Can the nintendo DS run Google's Android platform?
If it can, I think it would be pretty weet.
I would pay to be able to do these 3 things nicely with my DS:
- Nicer browser. Opera for DS sucks balls.
- Skype. Some games have voice support so skype shouldn't be a problem.
- Media player. This requires storage, which is easily done through the cartridges used to run homebrew apps, since they all use some sort of flash storage.
- GPS + Google maps. I read on some guy's blog that he had succesfully read the output from a GPS unit connected to his DS.
There are a number of problems with running Android on the DS however. These are just the ones I can think of off the top of my head:
- Battery life. My battery is only good for about 5 hours of play time, which is nothing compared to the battery life of a cell phone.
- Nintendo needs to open the specs for the DS so that the necessary drivers can be wirtten.
What do you guys think? Could this work? Would it even be

I am trying to connect my laptop which is running Mandrake 10.1 to a wireless network. I have a Cabletron RoamAbout 802.11 DS wireless card, i looked on the manufactures website and all I could find was drivers for 2.4 kernels which supported Fedora, Suse and RedHat. Could anyone please point me out to some drivers if there are any for Mandrake 10.1 or another way of installing the wireless card? thanks

DS Linux on Max Media Dock
location: linuxquestions.com - date: November 29, 2006
I have recently purchased a Max Media Dock for my Nintendo DS Lite. I've been trying to get DSLinux running on it, but as soon as I try to boot it up it hangs. I was wondering if anyone has any ideas or comments for me.

What ds games should I get?
And for that matter, what would you do with a DS, beyond just playing games?
Already got myself a pdf reader (that I'm struggling to make work atm :/ )
[SOLVED] Setting up Fedora DS(389 DS Server) on centOS 5.4?
location: linuxquestions.com - date: January 9, 2010
I have been confused with the overall new 389 DS Server Setup.
All I did upto now is:
yum install 389-ds
and it did all the installation correctly.
Then, I ran:
It too went fine.
All I need is Setup 389 Server with SSL.I did went through http://directory.fedoraproject.org/wiki/Howto:SSL but no Idea how to proceed.
I am confused with the following points:
1. Do I also need to run setup-ds-admin.pl and setup-ds-dsgw too?
I tried running setup-ds-admin.pl and it stucked at :
The server 'ldap://389-ds.sap.com:45474/o=NetscapeRoot' is not reachable. Error: unknown error.
2. When Should I run the setupssl2.sh script? After running the above setup-* scripts?
What changes I need to make on the script?
