ffmpeg x11grab unknown format
location: linuxquestions.com - date: January 24, 2007
i did compile ffmpeg from
svn checkout svn://svn.mplayerhq.hu/ffmpeg/trunk ffmpeg
without any errors (as far as i am concerned)
and ffmpeg is also kind of working - i did some conversion of audiofiles ...
now i wanted to test this X11 grabbing as stated in the FFmpeg Documentation (http://ffmpeg.mplayerhq.hu/ffmpeg-doc.html#SEC4).
so i did:
ffmpeg -f x11grab -vd x11:0.0 out.mpg
FFmpeg version SVN-r7676, Copyright (c) 2000-2006 Fabrice Bellard, et al.

do i have to configure my xserver?
i run Slackware 11.0 with dri according to http://dri.freedesktop.org/wiki/Building and my xserver is running with 1024x768 and Depth 16.
i would really appreciate some help.

How do I use my microSD card again after formatting in an unknown format accidentally, and it is no longer recognized?
location: linuxexchange.com - date: January 5, 2014
I was trying to setup an Ubuntu Remix boot-up drive on my 4 GB microSD card and accidentally formatted the card in some unknown format.
Is there a way to determine what format I actually did format it into?
Is there a way to re-format the card so I can use it again? Right now Ubuntu and Debian won't even recognize the card at all ... I don't see it anywhere.

Error: The archieve is either in unknown format or damaged [closed]
location: linuxexchange.com - date: January 1, 1970
I have received a zipped file having number of images and subfolders (can trace by opening the file in WinRAR) but on unzipping the file (right click->extract here) got "Error: The archieve is either in unknown format or damaged". I tried extracting the files from WinRAR interface but got the empty extracted folder. Is there any way to get the files from such zipped files.
Thanks in Advance
TXTextControl Error in text filter: Unknown format
location: linuxexchange.com - date: January 1, 1970
In an asp.net application the method TXTextControl.ServerTextControl.Load(path, type) throws the following exception: Error in text filter: Unknown format. (01-1D01)
Even though the file is a .htm file and the type is HTMLFormat, the component fails to load the file throwing that exception as a result.
I'm using version 12.0 of the component, not sure where to look next

ffmpeg Unknown encoder libfaac
location: ubuntuforums.com - date: May 1, 2013
Recently, I have freshly installed Ubuntu 12.04.2 i386 on my computer. I follow the instructions from FFmpeg, Community Ubuntu Documentation, https://help.ubuntu.com/community/FF...Configurations, to enable Universe/Medibuntu repos and to install ffmpeg. And this instruction reads as, "the following additional libraries will be downloaded: apport-hooks-medibuntu, libfaac0, libopencore-amrnb0, libopencore-amrwb0"
I tried to convert avi video using libfaac codec, then I got the following error message:
Unknown encoder 'libfaac'
Where is the codec location for ffmpeg in Precise/Natty? Can I just copy the libfaac codec from Natty to Precise. I had Natty installed on my computer in another partition, and the same ffmpeg command, that converted avi video using libfaac codec, worked alright with me.
I try not to compile-install ffmpeg. Is there any idea to add libfaac to my ffmpeg? Can you please let me know what I'm missing?
Thank you very much in advance!!!
ffmpeg unknown codec even though enabled x264, libfaac
location: ubuntuforums.com - date: January 3, 2009
I am having the hardest time trying to figure out why ffmpeg is unable to find the x264 and faac codec on my system. The ffmpeg version I have installed is from the Mediabuntu repository, so it appears that these codecs should be enabled.
