Hi, I enjoy playing racing games on the computer. Need for Speed type stuff. I have noticed that many FPSs and RPGs, etc, have been ported, or designed from the ground up to be compatable with linux (opensource or commercial). Anyway, I have noticed that there are not many good racing games for linux at all, and the ones that are open source are well, er... under developed frankly not very good. The best I have found are Racer and TORCS, and they work relativly well, but still arn't very developed. So I was wondering if anybody knew of any good car racing games that run well in Wine. Many are developed for DirectX and don't run very well, but I have noticed that the ones designed with Glide/OpenGL work great. Does anybody have a list of fun ones to play that run at good framerates, etc? I have tried the WineDB, but alot don't work properly. The best that I have found that work well are Powerslide and Dirt Track Racing Aulstrailia, but I was looking for more. If anybody is in

Hello friends of Ubuntu, well i tried many times to change from windows to linux ubuntu, but one of the things that kept me longer in Windows its the fact that some games don't work under Linux, well i pass some of my time playing around the computer and i would like to have a game or two in Ubuntu so i can spent more time in this wonderfull OS. Anyone can tell me if games like Pro Evolution Soccer 2011, COD 2 wich i play online work in Ubuntu? Right now the only game i have installed in my 11.04 Ubuntu is PokerTH Well i tried to install PES through Wine, i mounted the .iso and then right click on "setup.exe" and then i clicked "Open with other program.." and instead of choosing a program i sellected a comand, "Wine". Well after clicking in Open nothing happens :s Anyone knows how to install PES2011 or COD2 in ubuntu with or without Wine? Thanks a lot

Textures do not load in 3d games, some screensavers slow.

Hi. When I play FlightGear the textures do not load (the planes are black). Also, some screensavers don't run as fast as on my old (slower) computer. I am wondering what the problem is.
