Any new Xbox Emmulators for Linux in 2014?
location: ubuntuforums.com - date: August 14, 2013
It is now 2014 and I was woundering if there are any new Xbox emmulators. I know there is one, but it only plays one game. The Gamecube, Wii, Wii U, and the PS3 all have some emmulators. The pS3's only does homebrew, but it works. The Wii U's is a speical version of Dolphin that is patched and they even have one for the Triforce Arcade that still has not been ported to Linux yet and without that patched version you can't play Trifoce games. The Xbox is just a stripped down version of Windows XP so why did the not just make a Wine add on/emmulator.
Installing Maya 2014 on Ubuntu 13.04
- date: May 30, 2013
I'm hoping to get a little help here installing the newest version of AD Maya 2014 on 13.04. I used this script to install it on the off chance it would work.
*note: if there are problems with the script perhaps someone could provide a hand in fixing it so that we can ensure others have an easier time installing Maya on their systems.

#this version is updated by insomniac_lemon... issues were fixed and it has been converted to 2014, use at your own risk...
#testing in a VM first is recommended... (at least until I test it again or someone confirms it works without tinkering)
#### Lets run a few checks to make sure things work as expected.

I am surprised that there is not such a thing here already if there is, please
let me know where, as search comes up with 600 results.
There are few threads on this server asking specific question about their own setup,
but I would like to get a comprehensive guide/wiki together with the help of this community for people who are not technically / IT
literate to explain in great detail what will be the best action to take when support for Microsoft Windows XP
ends on 8th of April 2014 and what is the cost of upgrading to Microsoft product or migrating to Linux
and serve in easy to understand way to those users.
From my own experience I know that average users will wait till the last moment to solve the migration
as 3 of my family members are still running XP on their old laptops and it has been hard for me to persuade
them to do anything about it as if it works for them, they are reluctant to do anything with it at all
and that is mostly down to luck of time, since th

How ironic that Android Desktop and Chrome OS are two of the first slides in the article. Did anybody ever really think that Google would be the one that might introduce Linux to the broader desktop market?
