HP QC 12 and MS Access Query
location: linuxexchange.com - date: August 27, 2015
I'm currently trying to figure out a way to connect to HP QC 12 via MS Access and import the data found in table bug via a simple query. However, I'm having a hard time getting the HP QC data into a usable query.
I've tried two ways so far:
Public Function import_HPQC()
Dim HPQC_RST As TDAPIOLELib.Recordset
Set QCConnection = CreateObject("TDApiOle80.TDConnection")
QCConnection.login <>, <>)
QCConnection.Connect <>, <>
QCConnection.IgnoreHTMLFormat = True
Com.CommandText = "SELECT * FROM bug"
Set HPQC_RST = Com.Execute
rcount = 0
Do Until HPQC_RST.EOR
rcount = rcount + 1
This first way works in the way that I'm able to at least get an accurate record count of what is contained in bug but I can't get past this part. I can't figure out a way to simply run an insert into a
web page on apache server query a MS Access database
location: linuxquestions.com - date: January 18, 2010
I have an access database and I would like to build a website on the slackware 12.2 server running apache 2.11.14 to let users query data from the MS Access database. I am thinking that I could just do it in jscript and make a jdbc connection and that should be good. What do you guys think. Any thought are welcome.
Providing access to HP QC ALM 11.0 for external users outside corp network
location: linuxexchange.com - date: May 18, 2015
We have HP QC ALM 11.0 Enterprise edition installed on Windows Server and used by many users across the organisation within corp network. Now we have a requirement for a project to be accessed by external vendors outside the corp network i.e via internet. Can someone provide help if this is possible and required steps?
zoneminder config ubuntu 12.04 LTS query
location: ubuntuforums.com - date: August 26, 2013
Can anyone tell me where there is either file/script info or config info to enable SwannEye Pan/Tilt IP camera to work in zoneminder. I have managed to get it all viewable but control is a problem. Despite specifying all the cinfig details for pan tilt etc the 'control" icon does not affect the camera altho it does show on the monitoring video screen.
It appears I need the "control type" specification file/script, file location in ubuntu file structure.
I have used the PanasonicIP and AXis but there pm files aren't correct for the Swann camera it appears; I have tried a manual edit but do not have the Swann specific .pm file or ,pm file location to work from.
Any help would be appreciated; thanks
as an addendum I don't supposed anyone can point me in direction of installation files and config for ubuntu 12.04 LTS LOREX QLR-0440 capture card as well by any chance??
Linux Open Office and MS Access .mdb files
location: linuxquestions.com - date: October 18, 2008
I'm on the verge of a mental melt-down.
I want to open a MS Access (.mdb) file in Open Office under linux. I've found several web sites talking about using an ODBC and blah blah blah... none of it I understand.
I guess all I want to know is this: Can a person open, obtain information from, export, etc information from a MS Access (Office 97) .mdb file?
I want to get the information off in whatever way it the fastest/easiest so I can recreate the database with minimal effort in mysql.
Everytime I open it in Open Office and click on Tables Open Office crashes (I haven't seen a crash in linux in forever - it has to be MS's fault).
Am I doing something wrong, or am I expecting Open Office to do something that it simply cannot?
P.S. I've tried mdbtools also - it crashes as well with the error: "Segmentation fault".
Alternative to MS Access?
location: ubuntuforums.com - date: December 24, 2011
Now I know this question has been asked on these forums many times before, but it looks like it hasn't been asked all that recently, and things change, so I thought it's worth another go.
I'm doing pretty well at ditching Windows and using Ubuntu for all my home computing needs, but the one thing for which I still need to use Windows is if I want to use an Access database.
Now, I know that there are some fantastic database backends like MySQL or PostgreSQL that I can use with Ubuntu, but I've not seen any database front end to rival Access for usability. LibreOffice Base does the job, I guess, but it seems awfully clunky in comparison.
Does anyone have any suggestions for anything else to look at? I don't mind getting my hands dirty with a bit of programming if need be, but would prefer to avoid doing too much if possible.

What is the best equivalent of MS Access now in Ubuntu?
location: ubuntuforums.com - date: April 3, 2012
I switched over from Windows to Ubuntu in 2007, and have been using Kexi as my replacement for MS Access since that time. But there have remained a number of problems with it, such as that once a table is made there is no facility for creating a new column, or for renaming a column, or for hiding a column. Additionally, I found that moving from my previous Ubuntu (9.04) to 11.10, I could not get Kexi to install properly or accept the databases which I had created in 9.04. My demands on a database program are not great; I just need a program that allows me to create tables and do very simple tasks with them. What have people found to work well in the new Ubuntu distributions?
Unable to connect to MS ACCESS(mdb) from Linux

Can anyone suggest a way to access .mdb file from a Redhat linux machine?? I have googled a lot to find a free ODBC driver for linux, but did not help.
Your inputs are most important for making next step.
HP with 12.04 with Audio/Video skipping regardless of player.
location: ubuntuforums.com - date: May 21, 2012
I've tried everything I can but I'm at my wit's end. It plays audio and video but for some reason it will start skipping for a bit then revert to normal or lag in video no matter what I'm on. VLC, youtube, MP3, etc. it doesn't matter. It isn't always skipping but it will do it for these bursts that really jar you out of the movie/music.
I ran a command from another thread and it just gave me this information. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
