GPT error while installing CentOs 5.6 in HP DL320 G6
location: linuxquestions.com - date: September 23, 2011
Hi ,
i am trying to install CentOS 5.6 in HP DL320 G6 server with 2.86 TB (RAID 5) disk space . while i tried to create the partition i got below error :
"Your boot partition is on a disk using the GPT partitioning scheme but this machine cannot boot using GPT"
after googling i found a solution to use dd before partitioning. i tried that and when i reboot with CENTOS dvd to install i got a warning " Your partition table is not readable and need to remove all data." if i press yes than i got the same GPT error after creating the partition.
Can anybody help me to solve this problem?

error while installing fedora 64 bit in vmware
location: ubuntuforums.com - date: December 31, 2013
i get the follwring error.
This virtual machine is configured for 64-bit guest operating systems. However, 64-bit operation is not possible.
This host supports Intel VT-x, but Intel VT-x is disabled.
Intel VT-x might be disabled if it has been disabled in the BIOS/firmware settings or the host has not been power-cycled since changing this setting.
(1) Verify that the BIOS/firmware settings enable Intel VT-x and disable 'trusted execution.'
(2) Power-cycle the host if either of these BIOS/firmware settings have been changed.
(3) Power-cycle the host if you have not done so since installing VMware Workstation.
(4) Update the host's BIOS/firmware to the latest version.

I am trying to install NS-2.28 on Fedora17.

Now when I'm truing to install NS-2.28 I'm getting following error.
Code:
Error while installing graphics driver: ./defaultpolicy.sh does not support version

Hi,
I installed 9.04 on a HP t5730 Thin Client.
As soon as I'm logged in to the OS I have graphic errors.
This Thin Client has a ATI X1250 graphics chip.
Therefore I tried to install the ATI driver which I downloaded from the web.
But during the installation via the Gnome terminal I'm getting this error:
[email protected]:~/Desktop$ sh ./ati-driver-installer-9-3-x86.x86_64.run
Created directory fglrx-install.FoFMJW
Verifying archive integrity... All good.
