My computer has W7 as the OS and I am installing Ubuntu in its own folder. I have chosen "Other" as opposed to "Alongside W7". When I am ready to insatall and the minor partitions are defined I press CONTINUE and get the error "No root file system defined" and then it says something liok "go to partition menu and correct". I now don't know how to correct.

Error while installing graphics driver: ./defaultpolicy.sh does not support version
location:

Hi,
I installed 9.04 on a HP t5730 Thin Client.
As soon as I'm logged in to the OS I have graphic errors.
This Thin Client has a ATI X1250 graphics chip.
Therefore I tried to install the ATI driver which I downloaded from the web.
But during the installation via the Gnome terminal I'm getting this error:
[email protected]:~/Desktop$ sh ./ati-driver-installer-9-3-x86.x86_64.run
Created directory fglrx-install.FoFMJW
Verifying archive integrity... All good.

But I encountered the following error. I also receive the same error while trying to install many other packages.
Package dependencies cannot be resolved
This error could be caused by required additional software packages
which are missing or not installable. Furthermore there could be a
conflict between software packages which are not allowed to be
installed at the same time.
