In the menu of it, there is no option for doing it. Can anyone help me

How to install Ubuntu 9.04 on an Intel-based Mac laptop, by Richard Cavell v1.1. (June 2009)
Part 1 of 3
Hi,
In the spirit of free-as-in-beer, please propagate these instructions wherever you like. They are for installing Ubuntu 9.04 on a MacBook, MacBook Air, or MacBook Pro. These instructions may need to be slightly modified for different setups. If you wish to suggest any modifications, please do so.
I've written these instructions so that an absolute beginner ought to be able to follow them. Part 1 describes how to install Ubuntu on a Mac laptop. Part 2 describes how to configure Ubuntu for a Mac laptop. Part 3 is for novices. Part 3 is a reference that describes how to perform some basic tasks. You can refer to Part 3 if you don't understand something in Parts 1 or 2. I strongly suggest printing these instructions out so you will have them handy in spite of having to restart your computer multiple times.
Follow each step in order. Make sure you complete each step be

Can I install Ubuntu from the USB Drive
location: linuxquestions.com - date: February 19, 2012
I am considering using Ubuntu. I have already downloaded v11.10 to my USB drive for storage and such. My question this. Can I install Ubuntu from the USB drive to the hard drive? I would be partitioning the hard drive such that I will have Windows XP Home in one partition and Ubuntu in the other partition. This question (or related) have been asked before but just have the time to go through all the various threads searching for my answer. Thanks.

Please Help: Need to Backup home folder to external drive via terminal
location: ubuntuforums.com - date: April 9, 2011
Hello all. I have apparently broken my installation, though I am uncertain how. I can boot into the terminal, but the desktop shell refuses to load under any circumstances. The best thing I can think of is to simply reinstall.
But before I reinstall, I need to backup my home folder to the external drive.
I found a program called rsync that seems easy enough, but I cannot figure out the location of my external usb drive.
Can anyone tell me how to do this?
Please?
FYI, I'm using Linux Mint 9
Xplane install Ubuntu 11.10
location: ubuntuforums.com - date: November 3, 2011
Hello!
I've been trying to install Xplane 9 based on the tutorials provided on the xplane website for linux and am getting the following error:
error while loading shared libraries: libGLU.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
I tried to trace back to the Mesa gl libraries and they seem to be installed (I also located libGLU.so.1 on my system). Has anyone come across the same issue?
(I'm also using the most recent NVIDIA driver, 285.13).
Thanks!
please wait...
