Configuration Debian to give internet (ether) to Android Tablet ?
location: linuxquestions.com - date: March 16, 2013
Hi,
I have installed ether usb on the tablet.
When I run the ether on the tablet, it would be capable
to get internet from plugin the usb cable to the usb
of the debian machine.
/etc/network/interfaces has to changed for that.
my debian machine is: 192.168.1.120
Would you know if it exists a configuration to gw / give
internet to the tablet in a method that is universal?
I tried several codes changing the /etc/network/interfaces , rebooted, and I havent been successful.
I talk about a config that is very surely working and correct.
Looking forward to hearing you
Kind regards

I thought this will be as simple as in Windows 7 (connectify+virtual router). But it's not. So far I've managed to install a driver for an usb wifi dongle and now Ubuntu sees it
Code:
$ iwconfig

The next step was to create an AdHoc wifi network so I left-click on the network manager, chose "Create new wireless network", but I cannot see it when I scan for wifi networks via Android phone.
What am I doing wrong? Could it be that the wifi interface is down or something?

Hello, I am new to Ubuntu.
I was downloading the Android SDK when, mid download, I lost my internet connection. Now I cannot connect to the internet via hardwire connection. I can still connect on Vista, and I can connect via wireless, but I cannot have a hardwired connection.
I was following these instructions

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I have a Droid Eris teathered over USB. I would like to share the the internet connection over WiFi. Currently, I forward tcp:8080 to tcp:8080 with the android tools. (I'm using the proxoid application.) Then I set firefox to use localhost:8080 as a proxy.
How can I share this connection over WiFi?

How to set Internet options for Android emulator?
location: linuxexchange.com - date: January 15, 2015
I've been using this method to gain access to internet from my Android emulator
emulator -http-proxy <<proxy-name>> -avd <<avd_name>>
It works but is that the best way to do it?
It just doesn't feel right that I need to open the emulator from command line and can't just do it from Eclipse or something.
Can't seem to find an internet option on the "AVD Manager" either.

[MI ANTERIOR TUTORAIL ES OBSOLETO, AQUI DEJO UNA FORMA MAS FACIL Y SIMPLE DE CONECTAR CON EL MDEM HUAWEI E173s Y UBUNTU 11.04]
FUENTE: http://www.mikejr1.es/linux/index.ph...untu-1010.html

Set Up 3g modem internet on Arch..
location: linux.com - date: September 10, 2011
Hello everyone, I just installed Archlinux, without internet connection because I don't know how to configure the Network options at the installation menu to connect it.. it seems like it just can connect from Ethernet connections, DHCP and Wi-Fi.
Because of this, I donwload the necessary packages from another computer (wvdial, usb_modeswitch, usbutils and modemmanager), and install them on Arch from a USB, with "pacman -U /path/of/the/file.pkg.tar.xz" but now I can't edit the wvdial.conf in the correct way.. I have tried from solutions to other modems, but all I have got is to connect the modem, with the light turned on permanently, but the connection process doesn't get complete.. my modem is a 3g USB modem, Huawei model E156b, the internet provider is Tigo Honduras, the APN: broadband.tigo.hn.. how can I configure it? or can I set it up from the start? at the installation menu??
