jekyll posts not displaying/formatting correctly on github pages (rest of site is OK though)
location: linuxexchange.com - date: January 1, 1970
I was quite happy when I finally managed to get this site online, but unfortunately the posts don't format or style correctly and I don't know what the problem is. Its located at https://github.com/skydusk/skydusk.github.io and the site is here: http://skydusk.github.io/
Can anyone tell me what i've done wrong here?

Web pages not displaying correctly in Firefox
location: ubuntuforums.com - date: November 27, 2009
I just installed Ubuntu 9.10 to my hard drive, after using Fedora, and notice that certain web sites/pages in Firefox do not display correctly as they did in Fedura. Many of the page elements are now jumbled, and are merging with text throughout the web pages. The fonts are also different from what was displayed when using Firefox in Fedura.
What can I do to fix this situation, as I would like to continue using Ubuntu 9.10 with Firefox.
Firefox does not display ebay motors pages correctly
location: ubuntuforums.com - date: November 19, 2008
Does anyone else have this problem? Every auction page on ebay motors is a lot wider than it should be, but only with Firefox. I have tested this on several machines, Windows and Linux.
I really should be posting this on the Mozilla forums, but I like these forums, so I'm posting here.
SATA drive not working correctly after failed Ubuntu Server 12.04 install
location: linuxquestions.com - date: August 3, 2013
I'm not entirely sure if LinuxQuestions' hardware section deals in these sorts of problems, but here goes.
I've rebuilt an old scrap computer as a project over the weekend, and as of a few hours ago I've had some problems with the hard drive. I was trying to do a clean encrypted LVM installation of Ubuntu Server 12.04 (no, i do NOT trust my roommates with it) on it when an error message showed telling me there was a problem one of the packages dealing with the actual LVM formatting. Not thinking much of it, I restarted to retry the installation whilst formatting the drive in standard LVM, which worked before... to find that my hard drive (a Western Digital WD5000JJAS SATA drive) was no longer being detected correctly by the BIOS.
On the Award BIOS being run on the system, both the AHCI and IDE modes for the drive hang for about a minute when polling the hardware, and even then they won't correctly display the name of the drive (instead of showing None or WDC WD5000AAJS blahblahetcet
NTP does not work correctly
location: ubuntuforums.com - date: September 20, 2013
I set up a LAN composed by 3 computers with Ubuntu OS.
The first PC has a network interface card and the following IP address 192.168.100.3 and subnet mask 255.255.255.0 gateway 192.168.100.200
The second PC has two network interface cards and the following IP address 192.168.100.200 and subnet mask 255.255.255.0 gateway 192.168.100.200 and IP address 192.168.1.300 and subnet mask 255.255.255.0 gateway 192.168.1.300
The third PC has a network interface card and the following IP address 192.168.1.4 and subnet mask 255.255.255.0 gateway 192.168.1.300
I'm trying to synchronize the third PC with the first one. In order to reach this goal I set-up a ntp server in the first PC and this is the ntp.conf
# /etc/ntp.conf, configuration for ntpd; see ntp.conf(5) for help

new kernel will not download correctly
location: ubuntuforums.com - date: September 26, 2012
For the last several days, I have been updating my system using apt-get, and have been getting an error that the latest kernel update will not download properly. I am using Kubuntu 12.04, KDE 4.9.1. The terminal output is below, from the point the kernel has been downloaded. Any suggestions greatly appreciated. FYI, I am not afraid to go digging around in my system, but please be as specific as possible if offering any suggestions.

vsftpd Passive mode not working correctly.
location: linuxquestions.com - date: February 17, 2011
I am running vsftpd on a VPS running Debian Squeeze. I can use the FTP if I set my client to disable passive transfer. But for some reason I get a "Data connection refused" error without even a directory listing with passive mode on.
I've configured iptables to allow traffic on ports 20, 21 as well as the passive port range, yet this doesn't seem to work. Attached is my vsftpd.conf, I've looked around on the internet and tried a few different things but none of them seem to work correctly.
[SOLVED] Ralink RT2870/RT3070 on Slackware 14.0 (Kernel 3.2.29) is not working correctly.
location: linuxquestions.com - date: October 8, 2012
After upgrading Slackware from 13.37 to 14.0 I'm not able to setup my wireless USB device with a Ralink RT2870/RT3070 chipset.
On plugging in the device the rt2800usb module is beeing loaded but works only without encryption.
On Slackware 13.37 (Kernel 220.127.116.11) I had to blacklist the rt2800usb module to use the rt2870sta module for encryption
(see http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...how-to-897422/) but on Slackware 14.0 (Kernel 3.2.29) this doesn't work anymore for me. Modprobe doesn't find any rt2870sta module and several tries to compile it from the packages downloaded from the ralink website failed.
Does anybody know how to solve this?
EDIT: Found a Solution
Adding another 512MB RAM not detected correctly?
location: linuxquestions.com - date: December 9, 2007
I already had one piece of 512MB DDR2 667MHz A-DATA RAM. I just bought another piece of 512MB DDR2 800MHz A-DATA and installed it. Both of these are running on 667MHz, becouse my motherboard don't support higher speeds.
In windows I see total 1GB of RAM. In `free`, I can see only that:
configuration default for gnome power manager not installed correctly
location: ubuntuforums.com - date: June 5, 2012
I recently installed 12.04 LTS as a triple boot with Linux Mint and Win XP. I wanted to try 12.04 LTS. Now when I try to boot into Linux Mint, a box pops up telling me my gnome configuration default power manager is not installed correctly. I have tried
apt-get purge gnome-power-manager and apt-get install gnome-power-manager
I have also tried
& apt-get autoclean
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you very much.
