We use SSH Tectia for our SSH connectivity. In my Jenkins job, i have provided the userid (destination) and the private keyfile (absolute path in the Source box). When i try to test the configuration it fails with the below exception
Failed to connect or change directory
jenkins.plugins.publish_over.BapPublisherException: Failed to connect session for config [SomeName]. Message [Auth fail]
But the same connection id works through command prompt and i can see the keyfile is the same that i have provided.
How to fix Grub rescue "exception Emask" error?
location: linuxquestions.com - date: October 18, 2011
Recently I installed ubuntu 11.04 (sda3) alongside Windows XP (sda1), on my ThinkPad T60.
However, last Saturday, while I was surfing on the Internet (youtube video), the computer suddenly crashed (it turned off, as if I had just plugged it off). When I tried to reboot, all I got was a ”error: unknown filesystem”, and the ”grub rescue” prompt. Navigating through grub rescue is impossible (for me at least!), since anything I do is followed by ”unknown filesystem”. All I can do is ”ls”, even ”ls /boot” won’t work.
After very little research I found out that I could use ubuntu on a cd/usb and replace/update grub from there.
So I prepared a USB key and started the computer. And here’s the error I get when booting from the USB:
ata3.00: exception Emask 0x0 SAct 0x0 SErr 0x0 action 0x0
ata3.00: irq_stat 0x40000008

[SOLVED] How to handle a broken pipe exception (SIGPIPE) in FIFO pipe?
location: linuxquestions.com - date: March 2, 2011
I've written a simple server in linux used fork to create a FIFO pipe. The server create two FIFO pipe. One for server read data from client and write data to client. Then another pipe for client read data from server and write data to server.
When the server read data from a client used server-pipe and then write data to client. But ,if the client no read open the pipe, the server side write will be crashed because of a broken-pipe SIGPIPE.
How to check whether the read side is opened?Or,how to catch the SIGPIPE,and then my server will still execute on,not crashed!!
Thank you very much!I'm on line waiting for your answer! Thanks!

tomcat and jenkins port 8080 conflict
location: ubuntuforums.com - date: November 23, 2011
I just upgraded Ubuntu 11.10 and the first thing I did was to install tomcat7 and then Jenkins via Synaptic.
Tomcat works fine, but jenkins, installed as a standalone, wants to run on port 8080 and so does Tomcat.
What's the best way to switch one of the other to run on another port?
Also I see that tomcat's defaults are at /etc/defaults/tomcat7 and I expected to see jenkin's defaults at /etc/defaults/jenkins, but that file does not exist.
Where are Jenkins defaults? Not in (/etc/init.d/jenkins either)
How to update Jenkins from war archive?
location: ubuntuforums.com - date: June 16, 2012
I have installed Jenkins ver. 1.424.6 using this guide:
but when I goto jenkins it says there is a new version:
"New version of Jenkins (1.447.2) is available for download (changelog)."
If I press the download link it downloads a jenkins.war file approx. 46MB.
How do I update my current installation of Jenkins with that?
suggest to run:
aptitude install jenkins
but its seems a bit outdated. Is it not possible to update a Jenkins installation done with apt-get using a war file?
Jenkins behind apache but sill serving pages
location: ubuntuforums.com - date: September 30, 2012
I've installed apache2 in my laptop, and have a couple of test pages showing properly. After installing jenkins and being able to access it locally I wanted to access it via http. I could achieve that following this
But, as far as I understand, now every request to my port 80 is followed to 8080 port and so trying to access my default page I access Jenkins (and can't see the other pages).
Is it possible to have both behaviours at the same time in the same computer? I've tried some solutions but not even sure about that point
Jenkins and Bash Script
location: ubuntuforums.com - date: July 30, 2012
I have set-up Jenkins on my development server and it is great. I am now starting to extend its capabilities.
I have an issue that has to do with permissions. I have created a bash script that when executed will copy the
Jenkins build into a directory on my web server that displays to the world .
At this point am running in root on my test machine but this not the right way to do things I believe.
Should I make Jenkins apart of the www-data group so that it has the permissions to cp, mv, chmod and chown
the Jenkins build to the Apache2 root directory path? I am not sure what would be the most secure position
Thanks for any help you can give me
Anyone have a Jenkins wireless mouse???
location: ubuntuforums.com - date: July 19, 2012
Thinking of purchasing a Jenkins brand wireless mouse. No model number supplied but they come in a rainbow of colours if that gives a clue. I need a mouse and saw this advertised very cheap in a shop around the corner.
Anyone have one and have it successfully working in Ubuntu? I'm imagining it will be the same as the Logitech wireless mouse and keyboard I recently purchased for another machine; plugged in the dongle and it just worked, no tweaking required.
Just thought I'd check before I spend my precious AU$9.50!
Tnx in advance ...
