location: linuxquestions.com - date: February 15, 2010
I just installed Ubuntu 9.10 on a machine here. Tried to SSH to it and failed. Tried to "ssh localhost" from the machine itself and that failed. Did a quick google search and found out that an SSH server is not installed by default.
But how do I install it?
I tried the following, which failed:

How do I connect to Amazon ec2 account using ssh?
location: ubuntuforums.com - date: August 7, 2013
I signed up the other day to Amazon web services and set up a virtual host with EC2. All seemed to be going well until I tried to access the new instance using ssh. Are there any instructions on how to do this. All I kep getting was permission denied so I deleted the instance and want to start again. I'm using the free setup, which I think is free for a year.
Has anyone else experienced any difficulties?

I think the ports are 21 (ftp), 23 (ssh) and 80 (web server)
Can someone help me?
Howto: set up git repository over ssh
- date: May 1, 2012
It is assumed that you have a server and where a user (git_user) has ssh access as [email protected]
It is also assumed that git is installed on myserver.com and myclient. To set up a git repository that is shared via ssh do the following:
git init --bare
Note that the --bare flag is needed to allow users to push to the repository.
git add file1 file2 etc
git commit -m 'initial commit'
git remote add origin ssh://[email protected]
git push origin master
