Is this possible Virtual machine question.
location: ubuntuforums.com - date: July 3, 2013
I use Ubuntu 12.04. I access Windows XP from a Oracle VM VirtualBox. I set up the Guest Additions so that the VM can access selected folders on the Ubuntu hard drive.
However, I wonder if it is also possible to access the VM (when XP is running) from within Ubuntu? Can I create files from within the VM and access them from Ubuntu? Or is this not possible?
I am not experienced with VMs so please explain in simply language if possible! Many thanks!

Accessing virtual machine from Ubuntu
location: ubuntuforums.com - date: August 22, 2012
I am currently running Ubuntu on my laptop and in the office we have a Windows server with a virtual machine that has Ubuntu installed. I want to have access to the virtual machine and mount it to my laptop so that I can work on it from my laptop and so that other colleagues can do the same.
Can someone explain what I need to do to mount it to my laptop? I've already got a few directories from the Windows server mounted to my laptop using fstab but unsure how to access the virtual machine?
Any help is much appreciated.

What specs should I give an Ubuntu virtual machine.
location: ubuntuforums.com - date: July 13, 2012
Due to the fact that I was advised to stay away from working with partitions and I have a decent machine I don't see the problem with running it in a VM. I have a quad core i7, a 750GB hard drive, and 8GB of RAM. My question is what is the recommended specs I give Ubuntu? I want Ubuntu to run well but if it crashes I don't want it to bring the host OS down.

Hi all .. I recently installed Vmware workstation on Ubuntu 8.10 .. I tried to install virtual machines with windows operating system but its usually too slow .. during installation & after installation & sometimes it freezes the system .. so is that a bug of Vmware?? or installing windows conflicts the the Ubuntu?? .. if their is a similar workstation like Vmware & is it better to install windows?? Thanks
