Saw today that this was released recently

From the website:
Today we want to present you our latest project Pipelight, which allows to run your favorite Silverlight application directly inside your Linux browser. The project combines the effort by Erich E. Hoover with a new browser plugin that embeds Silverlight directly in any Linux browser supporting the Netscape Plugin API. He worked on a set of Wine patches to get Playready DRM protected content working inside Wine and afterwards created an Ubuntu package called Netflix Desktop. This package allows one to use Silverlight inside a Windows version of Firefox, which works as a temporary solution but is not really user-friendly and moreover requires Wine to translate all API calls of the browser. To solve this problem we created Pipelight.
Pipelight consists out of two parts: A Linux library which is loaded into the browser and a Windows progra

I have a hacked Linux hand held, it's running Debian SID. The included browser is links. The screen is around 2 inches big, Is there a better browser than links for this? Something like Opera for mobile? I looked at their site, but it's only for androids and apples Since I am neither metal nor organic, I was wondering on what browsers you guys would install. I'd prefer if it was easy to navigate in the pages. Flash is not a concern, RAM is only 300 megs and swap is 512, so I don't plan on doing flash on it any time soon.

location: linuxquestions.com - date: August 3, 2002
Hello,
My company have a lot of web applications developed in Domino using javascript and lotusscript. Previously the web applications are to cater for IE browsers only.
Now, my company want to know whether the applictaions can work if they are port over to Linux platform. We install redhat 7.2 and install domino on it. then we transfered the applications over.
When we browses via nescape6, mozilla and Opera6, we were anguished to discover that 80% of the javascript is not supported or could not run.
LORD...we were to tranfer to Linux platform, we will have this
very big problem.
Can anyone reconmend something ? Any linux browser acts like IE ?
Thanks
Chris
Your primary Linux browser

Pretend that neither Windows nor OS X had browsers. What would a typical site's usage statistics look like if *nix and *BSD owned the Internet?
What is your primary Linux browser? If you use several, which one do you use most often?
If I forgot your favorite, speak up. If you primarily use a text-based browser, speak up. Polls only have a maximum of ten choices and I couldn't include everything.
Please let's not go a-flamin' on each other over which browser each of us uses.

Hi Friends,
I successfully installed R12 on Linux. It is working fine on server. I want to access E-business Login page from different windows computers.
All M/C are in same network
http://Hostname.oracle.com:8000
This m/c is showing in router.
I added these lines in host file
127.0.0.1 hostname.oracle.com
127.0.0.1 hostname
127.0.0.1 hostname.oracle.com:8000
127.0.0.1 localhost
192.168.0.145 hostname.oracle.com
192.168.0.145 hostname.oracle.com:8000
192.168.0.145 is my ip address in router
Still I am not able to access this 12i Server from other windowsbox
I am typing in the browser : http://hostname.oracle.com:8000/OA_HTML/AppsLogin
I can ping 192.168.0.145. But I can't ping hostname.oracle.com
Aspire one (Linux) browser button wont work after firefox 8 update
location: linuxquestions.com - date: November 12, 2011
Hi, I've just finished doing the firefox 8.0 update on the Aspire One, and now the browser button on the desktop will not work to start firefox.
If i go to folder /opt/firefox-8.0/ ... and hit the firefox icon, it starts. But... my wife will not be able to live with this!! haha
Is there an easy way (limited linux experience here) to get this working again.
Thanks in advance
