location: ubuntuforums.com - date: May 2, 2012
If you have this keyboard, you should take a look at my manual, I did it myself in a poor english (english is not my first language), it goes steep by steep in understanding ubuntu sound system connections for musicians who planing to use this kind of devices and just migrated to gnu/linux like myself, it has screenshoots and tips for monitoring and recording clean keybord sound.
So I hope some one could use it, thanks
Lowlevel serial interface for Linux OS (Manual RTS/CTS control etc.)?
location: linuxexchange.com - date: April 14, 2014
I'm looking for a library that can create a very low-level RS232 connection - I'm working with a device that uses the RTS/DTR pins as relay controls.
The library has to be compatible with Ubuntu 12.04 (Multi-platform preferred) and C/C++ support would be preferred.

How easy is it to crack into Ubuntu/Linux?
location: ubuntuforums.com - date: April 18, 2009
I'm wondering about this because a Windows PC can be put at the mercy of a cracker with only a few lines of code in an executable.
Today when I was downloading a program for my Ubuntu I wondered, just how easy/difficult is it to crack this system. What if I download from an untrustable site? As I don't have time attempt anything myself at this moment, maybe someone with experience in programming for Linux can answer this.
When I download a tar.gz/deb/whatever and attempt to install this software through the normal procedures, is it at all possible that the software can attempt to do anything that I would not like it to do, without me approving/knowing? For example, can it open ports, add exceptions, use other programs that are already on the system? For example to send information to another PC, to collect info on the PC itself?

Flying Drone Can Crack Wi-Fi Networks, Snoop On Cell Phones
How do one ex-Air Force official and one former airplane hobby shop owner, both of whom happen to have decades of experience as network security contractors for the military, spend their weekends? Building a flying, unmanned, automated password-cracking, Wi-Fi-sniffing, cell-phone eavesdropping spy drone, of course.
a crack on LINUX CD distro
location: linuxquestions.com - date: July 22, 2006
I got this SUSE 10.o CD1 broken (a physical crack in the middle)-(maybe 1st 'cluster' of CD).
Somehow I managed to have it copied and it works, in other words it's completed (finished) on 1st install.
Seems illogical that a crack CD can be installed and works out fine.
What I want to know is how do I CRC check the distro CD?
Many thanks in advanced

hi again, as some of you have already read i was tryin to find a way to crack my ipod touch 2nd gen. well thanks to woosyrmomma, introducing me to the cywood tethered hack, i got my itouch out of jail, wworked extremely well and i really apreciated that woosyrmomma. but i tried to follow this tutorial https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Po...Devices/iPhone, sure that it was going to work but when i added the repository that it told me to add which was deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/ipod-touch/ubuntu gutsy main, but i substituted gutsy for intrepid because for one i tried gutsy main at first, just to see, and when it started downloading all the new packages, all of the ones from the repository failed, just to make sure ads well i searched for ipod-convenience after the download was complete, and couldnt find it. for two it made more sense that i substituted intrepid because im using kubuntu 8.10. when i used intrepid instead, the same thing, the packages from the new third party repository

Hello, everyone. I'm really exited to start using Linux. Problem is that I don't really know what I should do if I want to do this and that, so I'm hoping for a manual. Here's what I would like it to be:-
1. Step-by-step on how to install mychoiceoflinux system.
2. Step-by-step on how to get the drivers and HOW to install it.
3. Step-by-step on HOW to install applications.
- browser (on Windows I use Mozilla)
- office suit (on Windows I use Libre and Microsoft)
- audio n video player (on Windows I use VLC n GOM)
- download manager (on Windows I use IDM)
- image download manager (on Windows I use Downloader Pro from BreezeSystem)
- image viewer n editor (on Windows I use Fastone)
That will be all for now. Tq
- converter (on Windows I use FormatFactory)
I forgot, please post the manual in PDF if possible and upload it on Mediafire. Thanks again.
