I have installed QT, cmake in order to compile the source.
It seemed to install correctly (after a bit of reading about how cmake works....) but gives me this on run:
[SOLVED] Running Mint 13 cannot update/install software (GPG error cites invalid signatures)
- date: November 4, 2012
I just installed Linux Mint 13 KDE two days ago. Updated once, yesterday, installed GNOME via synaptic prior to that and a few programs using the software manager since. Everything was working fine.
Tonight I was notified of available updates. Ran the update manager and got this:

I cannot get the updates, nor can I install via the software manager. The Synaptic Package Manager, however, does work.
Could this be a pr
[SOLVED] missing repositories when trying to install/update packages, error from mintInstall
location: linuxquestions.com - date: January 19, 2012
I recently tried to do some updates/installs and am getting some missing repository messages with a 404 error. Some googling pointed me to a different sources.list, but the ones I have tried end up giving me some 404 errors as well. Now mintInstall gives the following error on refresh:
"The data used by mintInstall is corrupted or out of date. Click on refresh to fix the problem : no element found: line 1, column 0"
Any assistance with getting an updated sources.list and fixing this error would be greatly appreciated.

Ubuntu Gnome 13.10 Fresh install Kernel Panic error
location: ubuntuforums.com - date: October 20, 2013
I was running 13.04 Ubuntu on my machine until last night. I was using Gnome Shell which was installed besides the default unity. Last night i decided to upgrade by replacing my 13.04 with Ubuntu Gnome 13.10. Downloaded the CD image from Ubuntu Gnome site and burned it on my USB using UNetbootin. I checked the MD5SUM and everything looked in order. I was successfully able to boot into the LiveCD and the entire installation went without any issues or problems. When i was prompted to restart after install i selected the Ubuntu option from boot loader and suddenly capslock started flashing and the screen was stuck at blank. After waiting for a while, i did a hard shut down by pressing the power button and tried to restart again, and since then i see the Kernel panic error that goes like this:
Kernel panic - not syncing: No init found. Try passing init= option to kernel. See Linux Documentation/init.txt
I have redownloaded the CD and repeated all steps again and same results
Trying to install Wine, getting error possibly due to Moblock.
location: linuxquestions.com - date: October 3, 2008
Running Ubuntu 8.04 and decided to install Wine. When installing it tells me to run "dpkg --configure -a" in the terminal, so I do so and enter my password. Upon doing this, the terminal loads moblock control ( I have moblock installed obviously ). Any way to get this to work?
