Android vs. Ubuntu Mobile
location: ubuntuforums.com - date: September 6, 2011
As a die-hard fan of Ubuntu, I have waited patiently for a handphone that could run LibreOffice. I was keeping tab on Android phones but surfing the internet, I read recent development of Ubuntu Mobile. Will a respectable Ubuntu Mobile phone be a reality soon? This I will definitely wait for but what phone manufacturer would use it?

I am trying to install firefox mobile os b2g on ubuntu . I have downloaded and installed gaia. But when I am trying to run firefoxmobile b2g I am getting errors. Can anyone please help me in finding where I am going wrong. Below are the steps I am following:

2. Extracted it in Downloads folder only.
3. From terminal I have downloaded and installed gaia using the command

then make -C gaia profile
4. When the profile is ready I tried to run firefox mobile b2g

I tried this one also

[SOLVED] No mobile internet on Samsung Note
location: linuxquestions.com - date: June 30, 2013
Galaxy Note II running Android Jelly Bean. Wifi is fine, but no internet on the move. This kills navigation, etc.
I have set mobile data on, and the device has measured 214kb. I have set:
Settings / More Settings / Mobile Networks: Mobile Data; Data Roaming; & a valid APN; Network Mode LTE/GSM/WCDMA(Auto).
A lot of the other crap is not set up because Jelly Bean is clearly not aimed at my tastes with all these chat, IM & blog readers which I never use.
Any ideas what I left out that's costing me my data service?
Will Ubuntu Mobile support Nokia devices?
location: ubuntuforums.com - date: January 29, 2013
I have a Nokia 808 because I'm an idiot and I am locked into it for 2 years on contract and desperately need something other than Symbian. I dunno what I was expecting from the phone, I love the camera and expected and OS that functioned, sadly it is like using a phone from 10 years ago.
Please tell me there will be support for Nokia devices as I believe Symbian is an open platform.... that or Nokia's security is as bad as the rest of the OS.

[SOLVED] Mint / Ubuntu mobile broadband connection problems

This subject has been addressed before, But I didn't find one regarding Australian Providers. The particular one I had trouble with was DODO - which actually uses the Optus newtwork. I am still gathering information as to how it was achieved on my laptop, as it was done for me by somebody else. But I will post the answers as soon as I get the information
Any comments or findings or questions in the meantime would be moat appreciated for they will help with the goal to collect all the different angles, so that Newbie members like myself will be able to sift through and find the solutions which work for them.
