location: linuxquestions.com - date: June 21, 2013
I'm a newbie using Ubuntu 12.10 with system updates current.
I'd like to install a package from Arduino and the archives for Linux distros are arduino-1.0.5-linux32.tar.gz and arduino-1.0.5-linux32.tgz
I'm not able to find information on Ubuntu forums for this specific install, just wonder if there is someone using both Linux and Ubuntu that may be able to guide me to information on this install.
Completely uninstall and reinstall Eclipse IDE
location: ubuntuforums.com - date: February 21, 2010
I am VERY NEW to Ubuntu and have only limited experience with Linux in general. (mostly command line for web dev)
I started using Eclipse a few days ago and today something went wrong. I can no longer create a project for Java. I have tried several times to uninstall and reinstall but nothing seems to fix the problem.
The question is, how do I completely uinstall Eclipse so there are no bones left around and then do a full reinstall so I can start creating Java packages again? I am just learning Eclipse so keep your instructions simple please. Thanks so much!

USE ECLIPSE IDE for creating C/C++ programs on UBUNTU LINUX
If you are a Linux user, then you will want to download the Eclipse cockpit (note: if you already have downloaded Eclipse, you may need to download a plugin). This directions will assume a Ubuntu Linux distribution is installed on your computer (I am using Natty Narwhal but some of the earlier versions will be the same).
First go to the menu, Applications->Ubuntu Software Center
Once the Ubuntu software center menu is up
1. type 'eclipse' in the top right software search section
2. click Install
3. Go to the menu, Applications->Programming->Eclipse
You will get a Eclipse splash screen. Notice the version called "Galileo". Write down on some paper what version tha
