NTP server problem
location: ubuntuforums.com - date: November 9, 2008
In installed ntp on ubuntu 8.10 server. I followed instructions from several sites which are basically the same as this.
Everything looks right on the server itself. I check with ntpq -np and all the servers I configured in /etc/ntp.conf are displayed. jitter is not bad, but when I check from another ubuntu machine using ntpdate IP or Windoz box with an ntptool, it says "no server suitable for synchronization found".
I have tried different restrictions and have even gone through the documentation from ntp.org and nothing changes the result from other machines.
My ntp.conf list is:
# Enable this if you want statistics to be logged.
#statsdir /var/log/ntpstats/
statistics loopstats peerstats clockstats
filegen loopstats file loopstats type day enable
filegen peerstats file peerstats type day enable
filegen clockstats file clockstats type day enable
# You do need to talk to an NTP server or two (or three).

Flash player audio sync problem..
location: linuxquestions.com - date: September 7, 2004
Just wondering, has anyone found a fix to the problem of the flash player not syncing audio to the pictures? Seems to not be a browser issue, as it does the same thing in Konqeuror and Mozilla with Flash Player 6 and 7

qt desktop recorder sync problem on pclinuxos2009 amd64 dell studio15
location: linuxquestions.com - date: May 2, 2010
Hi I just started playing with 'qt desktop recorder'. on a KDE desktop. After recording a small presentation I found that all the voice was finished a long time before the video was. It makes for a bad presentation.
Now what did I do wrong? How would I sync the voice and video to start and end the same time?

NTP Sync?
location: linuxquestions.com - date: April 11, 2006
Ok - My machine is on a LAN which has their own dedicated NTP server. How can I make my machine sync with our local NTP server? Is their a command? I don't recall but I beleive I have a NTP service running on my Debian machine - I just forgot how to command it to sync. I did google this and came up confused.
Can anyone tell me if I have the correct services configured to sync with a local NTP server and how to do so?

Photo sync problem on Android device
location: ubuntuforums.com - date: September 26, 2012
Hi!
I have this little neat problem that needs to be solved.
I had Ubuntu One app installed on my Android Phone. It synced all my photos to Ubuntu one and worked fine. Well at some time i thought that i didnt want to sync my photos from my phone. I deleted the photo folder on ubuntu one and uninstalled the app from my phone.
Then a month later i wanted to start syncing photos from my phone again. I reinstalled the app on the phone, it connected fine but i never get the question if i want to sync all my photos. So it only syncs photos that is newer than the point in time when i removed the app.
How to i force it to upload all photos again?
please wait...
