Raspberry PI, Slackware ARM and floating point calculations
location: linuxquestions.com - date: May 4, 2014
Supposing I've a PI running with a Raspbian hardfloat enabled kernel and a Slackware ARM 14.0 or 14.1 userland that includes distribuited GCC package (and necessary dependencies to compile stuff).
If I write C code that does tons of floating point calculations can I instrucg gcc (on the slackware ARM userland) to compile the executable so as to use hardfloat ? or will I run into all sorts of problems dew to system libraries being compiled softfloat ?
I was looking at the GCC ARM options and I noticed a few things that might be of intrest concerning what I want to acheive:

Connecting subnets with Raspberry Pi wireless access point
location: linuxquestions.com - date: July 23, 2013
So, I am using a Raspberry PI Model B (256) with the latest raspbian image as a wireless bridge for an entertainment center with an ethernet port. The Pi connects to the LAN wirelessly and the eth0 port is "shared with other computers" via NetworkManager.
From ps aux | grep dnsmasq, I see that dnsmasq (apparently started by NetworkManager) provides an IP of 10.x.x.x to the entertainment center. The LAN has the usual 192.168.x.x IP space, provided via DHCP from a router.
So far so good, the entertainment center can get internet radio and connects to the internet. From the Pi, I can ping the entertainment center and anyone on the LAN.
But I cannot ping the entertainment center from anyone else on the LAN. What I would like is to drop the NAT on the Pi so that the entertainment center is visible to the entire LAN. Any ideas?
There are google results for achieving this result for various routers, but I'm not sure how to do it with the Pi/using debian an

Problem with gnometerminal: Floating point exception
location: ubuntuforums.com - date: May 27, 2011
Hello.
This is the first time I post a question on these forums and I'm sure there must be someone here that can help me.
My problem is as follows: I can't start gnome-terminal from the Applications->Accesories menu or from the Alt+F2 application launcher. I get a "Starting Terminal" in the task-bar that disappears after a few seconds and no terminal. I'm pretty sure there is something I did, but I can't really figure out what it is.
The things I've tried so far:
1. I used synaptic to remove and reinstall gnome-terminal. That didn't work
2. Started Xterm and tried to run "gnome-terminal". This is where it gets weird for me:
a. running the command as normal user I get a "Floating point exception" error and obviosly no terminal
b. when I do "sudo gnome-terminal" and enter the root password I get, as expected, a root terminal. I could live with that, but it's not ideal.
So if anyone can help me figure this one out, I would really app

Hey guys, I've noticed that $(( do math here )) only carries integer results. Is there any way that I can get echo $((3/2)) to print "1.5" instead of "1" without using something like bc?

I'm working on creating a plymouth theme, I have a problem getting the floating point RGB color values of such a color. Is there any application or online service that can gives me floating point RGB color values from any color such as (0.0, 0.0, 0.0) for black etc.
Thank you.
