name that game: penguin robot RPG

This will sound strange, but many years ago I remember playing an RPG for Linux, in which you play a robotic Penguin wandering around an isometric world map. There were a lot of characters and items, and a storyline, and the goal was to save the world from takeover by evil robots. But for the life of me I can't remember what it was called, and I can't seem to find it through my search engine. I am curious to take another look at it, because at the time it wasn't completely finished. Does anyone know which game I am talking about?
Super Mario Bros type game with Penguin ?
location: ubuntuforums.com - date: October 16, 2009
A while a go before I discovered Ubuntu and installed another brand of Linux on my system it came with a game that was a Super Mario Bros clone with that Linux Penguin instead of Mario with super graphics like found on Gamecube or Wii. Is there a version of it for Ubuntu? I think I remember playing it long ago when I installed Ubuntu 7.10 on my system but I removed it because it screwed up by giving me file access errors and almost broke XP so I had no desire to keep it (but 8.04 is much better no malfunctions so far) and since then forgot the name of the game.
So is it available for Ubuntu and if so what is it called and where can I download it?

[SOLVED] Planet Penguin Racer won't save games.
location: ubuntuforums.com - date: December 9, 2008
I turned all the max settings on Planet Penguin Racer on my Dell mini 9. and now it wont open anymore.
I even used the Add/Remove app. removed it and reinstalled it, restarted, it didn't work.
Ben told me this:
I am not sure on where it stores its settings. You might try firing up a terminal and running a
look and see if there are any directories resembling something to do with the game, such as .ppracer or something (no idea what it might be called). mv that to something else and try running the game.
mv nameofdirectory nameofdirectory_backup
which I did. the game runs now and it works great.
but the problem is that I start on level 3 (which is the level I was on before I did all the commands above.) , I cant access level 1 and 2. When I beat level 3, it doesn't save the levels that previously have beated. So, I have to endurer starting at level

I made this avatar for deviantart, but put it here as well, but minus the animated ness. The ubuntu logo is kinda small, and hard to tell, but I couldn't get it to look right :\. I also know that the size is small, but that's just because DA's size limit is 50x50 :D.
All orignal pixel work by me, by the way.

Good morning. I just downloaded ubuntu 12.04 and I recently saw a video about it on youtube and on the desktop this person had a penguin walking over the bottom of the screen. How was that done? I also saw a kubuntu 12.04 video and I see that they have widgets available and it has a bouncing ball that u can start on the screen but i really liked that penguin walking. How can we OR can we do that with ubuntu 12.04?
World penguin day today! :D

Just found this out from the "I ******* love science" Facebook page. (please don't censor the f*, it's the name of the page).
Bit late for tuxedos if you're at home, but...
Today is World Penguin Day! Most of these flightless birds live in the Southern Hemisphere. The famed tuxedo-like coloring is a form of camouflage while they swim: from above, the black blends in with dark ocean water, and from below, it appears as if the sun is reflecting off the surface of the water.
