SAMBA > WinXP Corel Draw Import Problems
location: linuxquestions.com - date: June 9, 2003
I've got samba just working fine on a little 'fileserver' with WinXP / NT / 2000 clients.
But now I've got a real problem:
If I want to import a file (.tiff, or wathever)in CorelDraw 11 directly from my samba share, the pc is beeing blocked for about 45 seconds an then returns without doing nothing...
Sometimes, CorelDraw then crashes..
I've got SuSe. Maybe there's a problem with the permissions? Even if the user can copy/delete/modify the files.
Thank you very much for your help !

Samba "Master Browser" problems
location: linuxquestions.com - date: November 10, 2006
I am having some strange problems with Samba. Some of these relate to erratic browsing of computers, printers and shares on the network. I also have some shares on the Linux machine which I can't write to from windows - though they clearly appear to be set to "everyone can write".
Here are some log file entries which might give someone a clue as to the basic problem. These appear every day in the logwatch:
--------------------- samba Begin ------------------------
lib/util_sock.c:get_peer_addr(1000) getpeername failed. Error was Transport endpoint is not connected : 6 Time(s)

GPG Keyblock Import Problems
- date: February 27, 2013
copying my exact bash command
~ $ gpg --import "key.txt"
gpg: can't open `key.txt': No such file or directory
gpg: Total number processed: 0
Ok so this worked perfectly fine about a week ago then all of a sudden wouldn't work. I tried a fresh install of linux 13 Maya and I still get the same error message.
The file DOES exist so I'm past that problem. I'm trying to import a keyblock to my keyring. I saved the keyblock as a .txt file just as the gnupg guide prompts. As i said, this exact method has worked fine in the past. It seems whenever I use a command in konsole that incorporates file paths, I get the same error "no such file or directory"
How To: Install CorelDraw/ Corel Draw on Ubuntu with VirtualBox [Tutorial]
location: ubuntuforums.com - date: August 25, 2008
I wrote this for future Corel Draw users Searching the Forum and Archives-----
When I was making the switch to Unbuntu, giving up Corel Draw (sometimes called CoreDraw) for Windows was my last major commitment to the Microsoft operating system. If I could just find a way to do Corel Draw adequately in Ubuntu, then I would be a 98% Unbuntu user- and I would be happy, happy, HAPPY!
So after searching the Unbuntu archives and Googling, I found I was not alone. LOTS of people use Corel Draw. What I discovered after MUCH searching was there was no easy answer in the archives- lots of people asked questions, but I could find no adequate answer.
Well, as a dedicated Corel Draw user, my persistence paid off. I'm now running Corel Draw as I always did. And since I found a wonderful answer, I wanted to make this tutorial so others searching could find this and receive help. If you're reading this, I assume you also are a dedicated Corel Draw user and want to get it running in Ubunt
