Should I get the new Flash 11 64bit beta?
location: ubuntuforums.com - date: July 15, 2011
I'm about to install Ubuntu 11.04 64-bit, and I'm wondering if I should install that Flash 11 64 bit beta? If so, a couple of questions:
- Should it perform better than the 32-bit version?
- If I install the 32-bit or an older version before, can I overwrite with the new one or is a full clean install preferred?
- How do I install it once I download it from here? http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/flashplayer11.html Is it really as simple as replacing the *.so file?
- Does Chromium/Chrome need this too or just Firefox?
[SOLVED] Is there a way to get Adobe flash 11.6 or greater in Linux?
location: linuxquestions.com - date: September 27, 2013
I have looked everywhere, but it seems like Adobe is giving Linux the finger for some reason. Is there a way to make the one for Mac work for Linux? I tried to open a .dmg file of 11.9 and failed. If anyone knows anything about this, please post a comment.
There are many game on FB that I cannot play because of this problem. And I fear it will only get worse in the future.
Any experience with 64bit Flash 11?

I'm debating whether to migrate from 32-bit Meerkat to 64-bit Natty, and would want to install Flash 11.
However, ESPN and Yahoo Sports are important to me, so will only migrate if Flash 11 works well.
Thanks,
Ron

I've been able to use this program in the past but can't seem to get it working via command line in 11.10. I followed the commands below...
Code:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:jd-team/jdownloader
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install jdownloader
I get the error below.

Issue Installing "Crossover Games i386" On Ubuntu 11.04 Beta 2
location: ubuntuforums.com - date: April 17, 2011
Hey guys,
Having an issue installing Crossover games for the Intel i386 arch, I have successfully installed wine and tested it to install some basic .exe files (I tunes 10.2.1 and WinRAR) both open and run just fine so no issue there. So here's my problem, I downloaded the trial of crossover from there website "crossover-games-demo_10.1.0-1_i386.deb" when I try to install the file it takes me to the Ubuntu software center asks me to install..So I do so.. then it just hangs there for about 20 seconds and nothing happens . From checking the website under system requirements it says the latest version it's been tested on is 10.10.
So my question is, has anyone found information stating that it isn't compatible because 11.04 is still in development?, or has anyone tested or had the chance to test it and get it running on 11.04 beta 1 or 2?. Or am I just not properly trying to run the deb file?.
Any help would be appreciated ,
Ryan
