Firefox 64bit: How to get rid of annoying yellow bar on flash pages?
location: linuxquestions.com - date: January 7, 2006
I'm using 64bit Firefox, and I don't have flash installed since there's no 64 bit flash. I don't mind not having flash, but i'd like to get rid of the yellow bar that comes up on every flash page, that says "Additional plugins are required to display all the media on this page." I looked through about:config but couldn't find the right option. Can anyone help?

Unable to get my new Novatel (Verizon) 551L 4G LTE USB Modem working with Beta 2!
location: ubuntuforums.com - date: April 6, 2012
Hello everyone, it's been a while since I posted here due to NOT being allowed to use my Dad's Comcast Network to test Ubuntu 12.04 (I had it on a Virtual Machine but still got caught), and my existing Apple IPhone 4 3G Personal Hotspot was too slow to download Ubuntu 12.04. However, I am back running Ubuntu 12.04 Beta 2, thanks to my new Verizon Wireless (Novatel Wireless)4G LTE 551L USB Modem, however I am having a small problem trying to get it to work with Ubuntu 12.04 Beta 2. If somebody could provide a link to a webpage with detailed instructions on how I can get this to work I would be very greatfull for your help.
TIP: Kubuntu 11.04 64bit faster Flash Player
location: ubuntuforums.com - date: May 7, 2011
So I came across this tip on the Kubuntu Forums regarding 64-bit Kubuntu and Flash. This has actually made flash on my system speed up by 200%. Do the following:
sudo apt-add-repository ppa:sevenmachines/flash && sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install flashplugin64-installer
Close all Firefox windows, open them back up, and test it out.

Yay gonna be 15 in like 10 days Also since it's that time, I'm wondering what I should ask for my birthday a new aluminum macbook or a pc notebook. This notebook will be used to do school work on I'm going to be sharing data with a usb thumb drive (4GB) that works on mac, linux and windows. The school uses Windows XP and M$ office (not 2007, i think 2003) I will be running Ubuntu and Windows on it. I will do some geeky stuff on it since it will be my first computer that I own and I can do whatever I want with it. I know I like OS X. So what do you think? No biased opinions please. Oh and if I can't get enough for a macbook I'll be getting a notebook either way... it's just if I have enough

Unable to install windows from usb flash, I get an error “setup was unable to create new system partition”
location: linuxexchange.com - date: July 1, 2015
I have CD with window 7, I can install windows from this cd, but disc is't mine. So, I want to make a copy on my usb flash drive. I made iso copy of cd disc with WinISO, then I wrote this iso file on my flash drive with "Iso to Usb".
Now I try to install windows from this flash. I have 1tb hdd, I created 100gb partition and get 100gb partition, but when I did the same with with Windows cd disc, it creates 100 gb primary partition and 100 mb system partition.
So, when I tried to install windows in 100 gb partition from cd it installed, but when I tried to install from usb I got exception: "setup was unable to create new system partition".
Why so? Why I do the same steps and I can install from cd, but can't install from usb?
Why usb windows didn't create system partition? And how to fix it?
Unable to get the first login after a new installation of Fedora 11 x8664 with KDE
location: linuxquestions.com - date: November 5, 2009
I'm a new user of linux.
I don't know the o.s.
I have installed a x86_64 fedora v.11 with KDE desktop on a desktop intel based PC
At the end of installation and after the last system reboot, I've completed the wizard that help the creation of a new user in KDE.
The problem is that after the insertion of user and password, the system always come back to the login window.
I tried all the options for the login.
the only one of them that works is the type failsafe.
I've redone all these tests using the root user: no difference
I do not know the system commands and then I do not know what I can do with the console to fix this problem.
