Where can I get linuxsource2.6.11
location: linuxquestions.com - date: March 7, 2006
Well, today I decided to get the debian kernel sources for 2.6.11. I searched on packages.debian.org but could not find it. I can find 2.6.12,2.6.14,2.6.15 but not 2.6.11 and also 2.6.13.
I want the 2.6.11 sources for some specific reasons....
What;s up with this?
Thanks

Why does new software force me to upgrade my version of Linux to get new libs?
location: linuxquestions.com - date: July 9, 2005
I'd like comments about an overall problem I find with Linux software that I hope you can help me with. The problem is this:
When I install a Linux distribution (in my case, Mandrake 10.0 Official), I want it to be stable and to use it for a long time without needing to upgrade. I get to know it well, and I'm willing to give up features that don't appear until later versions. By this I mean basic features like using KDE 3.2 instead of the leading edge KDE 3.4, or not using the latest kernel.
However, I want to be able to upgrade individual programs. When some new Tetris game comes along, I'd like to be able to run it.
However, when I install this new game (or whatever program), it wants to rely on newer libraries than I have. For example, in Mandrake I use "urpmi" (I think it's "apt-get" in Debian, "yum" in Fedora, "yast" in SuSE, "emerge" in Gentoo, etc.) to grab (say) Tetris-v2, and suddenly it says, "To use Tetris
Should I use 32bit or 64bit Ubuntu for Google TV development?
location: linuxexchange.com - date: January 1, 1970
I just got a machine with Win7 on it, and would set up dual-boot to Ubuntu 12. My question is that should I choose 32bit or 64bit? Does it matter?
Cannot install new 0.11.3 sbt on Ubuntu 10.04LTS
location: linuxexchange.com - date: January 1, 1970
This process used to work fine in 0.11.2 but the recent change w.r.t to sbt group ID changed to org.scala-sbt (from org.scala-tools.sbt) seems to have broken a dependency.
I've got a 10.04 LTS machine to which I added the Typesafe deb repository using the deb package file, described in: https://github.com/harrah/xsbt/wiki/Getting-Started-Setup.
When I try to install from the repo I get:

[SOLVED] How to replace win8.1 with Mint 17 on HP Stream Notebook 11 64bit 2gb?
location: linuxquestions.com - date: December 3, 2015
Greetings!
I have googled and checked your site for instructions on how to replace win8.1 to Mint 17 on a 64bit 2gb HP Stream 11 Notebook. I have found instructions for 32bit. Can those instructions apply to 64 2gb? Is there a link for a step by step tutorial on how to perform the replacement? I am sorry to be a pest but either I missed it or didn't look in the right place.
Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated.
Health and happiness to you and yours!

HOWTO install flash 9 plugin beta
location: ubuntuforums.com - date: October 19, 2006
EDIT: January 16, 2007
This thread is officially obsolete as flash 9 is finished and out of beta. But, since you came here looking for a way to install flash 9, I will just put the instructions for the final version.
Note, I have done this on edgy. If anyone wants to confirm that it works on any other versions, feel free.
Open the terminal, Applications>Accessories>Terminal, I will assume this stuff will all being happening in the home directory as that is where the terminal opens by default.
First remove the previously installed flash plugins (obviously if you don't have any installed, disregard).
There are a few ways to do it depending on the way you installed it. If you are not sure, you can do all of them without damaging anything but if you do all of them, make sure you do them in order. If you know how you installed the old one initially, choose the appropriate one.
1. Removing it via apt
Code:
sudo apt-get remove flashplugin-nonfree
2. Removing it manually if it is
