[SOLVED] AT91SAM9263ek: UBoot kernel CRC error on second boot
location: linuxquestions.com - date: August 18, 2010
I'm using buildroot-2010.02 for a AT91SAM9263-EK, and I'm having a bit of an odd problem.
I load everything fine via SAM-BA:
NAND 0x20000: U-Boot
NAND 0x200000: Kernel
NAND 0x400000: JFFS2 RFS
Everything loads fine and boots okay the first time, Linux runs normally. However when I reset the board I get the following outputs:
[SOLVED] grub crc error on boot
location: linuxquestions.com - date: December 10, 2009
using ubuntu 9.04 has worked fine for months
Went away for a few weeks & now on booting grub gives me this messageCRC error
system haltedTo begin with it was intermittent & if I rebooted several times it would run but now I can't boot at all from grub.
If I boot up with puppy linux live CD & run fsck it says both my system & data partitions are clean.
I also have a swap partition but puppy is using it right now so i assume that isn't an issue.
The box is new about 6 month old.
Thanks for any help you can give

I checked that the /etc/securetty has an entry "/dev/ttyS0" to allow root to logon via serial console - so I ruled out this file to
be a cause for that error.
Few files that I am not entirely sure are as below:

auth required /lib/security/pam_stack.so service=system-auth
auth required /lib/security/pam_nologin.so

[SOLVED] CRC error while uncompressing the kernel.

Hi: I'm sorry if this goes in Hardware. I got:
[SOLVED] Ubuntu 12.10 grub error "file /boot/grub/i386pc/normal.mod not found"
location: linuxquestions.com - date: February 26, 2013
And before you ask, yes I'm already aware that Ubuntu installs EFI Grub instead of Vanilla Grub. I am no newbie when it comes to Google. I've already tried reinstalling Grub, to no avail. I'm still getting the error message. Also tried insmod from the Grub Rescue prompt... that also gives that message.
By the way, I'm installing to an external USB drive.
I noticed something peculiar when I booted from my LiveCD, though - I can see the /boot/grub/i386-pc folder fine when I view my hard drive through the file manager (and the normal.mod is there), but when I try to view my hard drive through the terminal, the folders aren't there. It's like they're hidden. Is this the cause of the issue?

Kernel 2.6.30 Boot "Error 13"
location: ubuntuforums.com - date: May 8, 2009
I have upgraded to Karmic and all is working well
However, when I install linux-image-2.6.30-3-generic and reboot, I get "error 13: Invalid or unsupported executable format". Any ideas what this means?
I upgraded another machine yesterday and that worked fine.
