As I said, that method shows you every dependency in the whole repository, NOT just what you've installed. Was that the only dependency on samba-common that was shown?
(As you can see from my output, above, the Fedora 19 repositories don't contain any Samba 3 code.)
By the way, since I had that file, I thought that I would find an improved version of the program useful. So here's version 0.2:

I see this error in a couple of redhat server.

snmpd dead but pid file exists
- date: July 28, 2010
Running into an issue where snmpd quickly dies after start with the error on status:
snmpd dead but pid file exists
I have gone through the remove/reinstall and confirmed at latest for the distro I am on which works fine for all my other devices and virtual containers.
Here is info on my environment.
The failures are on OpenVZ virtual containers running CentOS 5.5 and yum update shows all up to date.
snmp]# yum list installed |grep snmp
net-snmp.x86_64 1:22.214.171.124-9.el5_5.1 installed
net-snmp-libs.x86_64 1:126.96.36.199-9.el5_5.1 installed
net-snmp-utils.x86_64 1:188.8.131.52-9.el5_5.1 installed
My snmpd.conf file is very basic and is the same as on all the other systems that are not having issues.
It's just rocommunity myusername xx.xx.xx.xx <--IP of server that gathers the snmpd data.
When running a trace to see what happens when it dies I see a floating point exception error.
Program received signal SIGFPE, Arithmetic exception.

Samba Server nmb is dead but pid file exists HELP PLEASE
location: linuxquestions.com - date: May 24, 2013
I set up a Samba server on CentOS 6.4 and everything is working. However, I need to go into the network tab and type //192.168.x.x in order to connect to it, it doesn't show up automatically in my network tab like other PCs do, why is this?
Optional question that isnt as important, how would I get a printer to show up? Do I need to first have a printer added on the computer thats running Samba server and thats it? Thanks.
ntpd dead but pid file exists

I'm stretching my newbie legs on this.
I'm trying to demote my Win2k PDC to a file server and move all the domain controlling activities over to my Centos 4 box. I've also set up an Astaro firewall (2 NICs in a dedicated PC) just to muddy the mix.
The current problem I'm trying to solve is using my Centos box as my LAN time authority. I opened port 123 in the firewall and the Centos box seems to be able to contact an external time server. Also, the firewall computer appears to sync to the Centos server.
However, when I tried to point my FC3 desktop to the Centos box it won't sync. I've been using the "services" gui interface to stop and start the service, which gleefully reports that the service was successfully restarted, but the time doesn't sync. In the "status" box, it says that "ntpd dead but pid file exists". I've tried to use KDE system guard to locate the process and kill it but it's not listed. I've also tried

On Ubuntu 11.10, I get a 'No such file or directory' error when I try to execute a command (adb command in android sdk).
I have checked with 'ls -la' , the file 'adb' is there and it has 'x' flag So why I am getting a 'No such file or directory'?
bash: ./adb: No such file or directory
~/Programs/android-sdk-linux_x86/platform-tools$ ls -la

[SOLVED] Array loops and checking if file exists
location: linuxquestions.com - date: April 5, 2014
Quite simple problem I have here. I have made a script to automaticaly run files in folders in the current directory, to start multiple servers at once each from their own file. The problem with that is that the script assumes every folder in the current directory is a server, so for instance if the folder contained server1, server2, and notaserver, the script would try to run the start script in the notaserver folder even though it's not really a server. I need the script to check if the start.sh file exists in the server folder before it tries to execute it; if the file doesn't exist: don't attempt to execute it nor say that the folder/server was found.
Any help is appreciated.
Below is the code used in the script. Please tell me what I have to add/remove/change/etc in order for this to happen.
