ssh iphone kubuntu?

Anyone have any experience or know-how in this area?
Can you recommend some good sites?
I have tried googling around, but have been unsuccessful.
I would like to be able to SSH into my computer from my iphone (Have completed this step), and retrieve files from my computer (theoretically, have done this..)
I am guessing, I am gonna have to "jailbreak" my iphone, which I would rather not do, at this time...

Fix SSH to iPhone
location: ubuntuforums.com - date: March 5, 2010
I had connected to the phone via ssh before without any problems
but later I got a message saying:"Server unexpectedly closed network connection"
After trying different solutions to enable ssh to my iphone again I found my own
I reinstalled openssh client through synaptic package manager on ubuntu
Uninstalled openssh on my iphone
I noticed a warning in cydia saying /etc/ssh was not empty so it would not be removed
I deleted the directory myself using ifile and restarted the phone
After it booted up I opened the terminal in ubuntu and established a ssh connection as root
It took about 20 seconds before I got a message printing the RSA key fingerprint
I answered yes when it asked if I wanted to continue connecting
I was prompted for the iphone's root password and connected successfully
Hope this works for you too
Connect to iPhone with SSH?

On Windows I use WinSCP to connect to my iPhone's filesystem, but what do I use on Linux?
Also, it must be with a GUI, CLI is too slow and unhandy for me

Controlling rhythmbox through an iphone (ssh without X)!
location: ubuntuforums.com - date: October 25, 2008
So, the story is, I would love to skip/play/pause/stop songs on the rhythmbox through ssh, but as far as I know, the rhythmbox-client tries to do stuff with X, but since iphone runs on BSD, which (as far as I know) uses a different kind of X, modified to work on the phone. So is there a client for the iphone, or a specific command/way to get this worked out ?
Sorry for the lack of info, it's kinda' late (early?) in the night (morning?).
iPod touch/iPhone video streaming, ssh, vnc, FreeNX??
location: ubuntuforums.com - date: July 11, 2009
I just traded my Eee 901 for a Touch 2nd gen. I was looking for a way to access my mythtv videos by streaming. Is there some sort of backend I can run and a thin client app to install on the ipod? I have tons of divx transcodes and woudl really be useful if I could access it over my wlan.
Also ssh client- what to use, same with vnc, rdp, and FreeNX?
I plan on jailbreaking it but bricked it using itunes via virtualbox.. so when the new one comes in it would be nice to skip the trial and error phase.
In general can people tell me whats worth installing for apps? I have no intentions to use it for music.

Iphone 2.2 cannot connect to Amarok ssh
- date: February 17, 2009
I'v been trying to solve this problem for the last 2 days ,
I cannot sync my iphone with amarok , I read all the articles on the subject but nothing works , I've reinstalled everything still the same results .
Basically when I start up amarok , I configure the device in amarok, then up pops an ssh login [email protected]
, I enter in the alpine password the login reappers & re-appears
So I tried opening up a terminal and running the iphone-mount command ,
I get this
Permission denied (publickey,password,keyboard-interactive)
So I tried logging in as sudo ssh [email protected]
and it gives me this
[sudo] password for paul:
Permission denied, please try again.
It seems to connect but won't let me on amarok
Help I really want to get this sorted
Any help will be greatly appreciated
