Strange Time sync errors : and drift on Linux Servers at Perticular time
location: linuxquestions.com - date: January 17, 2015
In our environment we are seeing strange behavior on many Linux VMs (CentOS Servers) which is observed as below (notice time stamps)
1. at particular time say at "21:00 PM" it reports error
-- Jan 15 21:01:27 <HOSTNAME> lsass: [lsass] Failed to sync system time [error code: 40075]
2. After this There is no other error till "Jan 15 21:13:03"
3. After this the VM time drifts back to "Jan 15 21:07:48" ( 6 min behind ) with same error
-- Jan 15 21:07:48 <HOSTNAME> lsass: [lsass] Failed to sync system time [error code: 40075]
4. After that the time sync continues normally.
The VMs are added in our domain and use pbis for the domain intigration
Request you to share some light on the issue and assist me troubleshooting this as its impact is severe in my live environment.

Backup Solutions for Linux Servers
location: linuxquestions.com - date: October 13, 2005
We have a group of 70 linux hp servers, rackmounts in raid 1 to raid 5 . These are database and application servers which run db2/informix/websphere/tomcat etc. We are researching for a complete backup solution which is easily manageable from a central console, and is fast and reliable.
I was wondering if you folks have any suggestion regarding this. I could not find a clear backup strategy from anywhere in the internet. We have been looking at amanda, mondo etc.
Thanks for all inputs.
