Recently download Ubuntu...
location: linux.com - date: December 28, 2009
And I'm a little new to linux, so yeah.
But I installed it and everything was fine until I tried to use the internet.
Somehow, I can't find how to connect with wireless? I'm using Ubuntu 8.04 btw.
But I'm only allowed to connect with Wired Connections, and some other connection?
I've been googling for hours but can't find a solution.
Thanks to anyone who helps me!

Software Center Failed to Download Purchased Game
location: ubuntuforums.com - date: July 1, 2013
I purchased a game on Software Center in Ubuntu 13.04 amd64 and it crashed and failed to download the game and I paid money for it. Now when I go to 'File>Reinstall Previous Purchases...' in Software Center the page is blank. And I am unable to Download anything that is able to be Purchased. (i.e. Proprietary Licensed Software) The same thing happend to my Moms Ubuntu PC and she cannot Download games that are in some of the repositories and plus I cannot Sync computers with Software Center either. But I can do a sudo apt-get update and a sudo apt-get upgrade just fine. I also cannot see repositories for the Purchase Software.
Any help would be very appreciated.

Could not download all repository indexes
location: linuxquestions.com - date: May 16, 2013
Hi I am a newbie using Linux I have used Windows for years, and am tired of the problems with it. I am using Linux Mint 14.1 with cinnamon, on a HP Pavilion dv6 64 bits w/AMD turlon x2 chip/4megs ram, it was working great.
I lost the connection to my Internet (Cable 15mbs) after it came back up. I saw that the an system need an update. I tried to update and got the following, rebooted and tried again same thing happened. The reboot took over 4 minutes. The same thing happens each time I boot now and still get the same error when I try to update.
Thanks for any help
Could not download all repository indexes
The repository may no longer be available or could not be contacted because of network problems. If available an older version of the failed index will be used. Otherwise the repository will be ignored. Check your network connection and ensure the repository address in the preferences is correct.

Gaming on Linux has long been a hit and miss exercise in frustration. Some users tried to get WINE working well enough to run Windows games on Linux, while others built Linux native games. As of last week, Linux users won't need to struggle nearly as much to get great games. Valve announced the official debut of Steam for Linux. With Steam for LInux, users will now gain access to a large library of titles including Counter-Strike, Half-Life and Team-Fortress 2 that will run on Linux.
[SOLVED] Menu bars (top and left side) not appearing [Ubuntu 11.04]
location: linuxquestions.com - date: August 21, 2011
I've been running Ubuntu 11.04 for about three months now, but mainly use it for browsing or homework, because of how fast it is compared to Windows, especially on the computer I use. Needless to say, I do not conisder myself any kind of computer expert.
The problem: I was looking around at games and options that are good with Ubuntu and downloaded a couple of games and compizconfig. When I downloaded and opened compizconfig, I turned on "opacify" and then I noticed that my menu bar had become a strange black and yellow distortion, otherwise everything was normal and fine. I turned opacify off, and it changed nothing. I restarted, and not only was the top menu bar gone, but so was the launcher on the left side of the screen. I cannot launch any programs, and it won't launch any keyboard shortcuts either as far as I can tell. My background and desktop items remain, but thats all. I can right click to change the background also.
I'm using GRUB, so I restarted and selected
