Hello all. I wanted to install AMD Catalyst Driver for my Lenovo G470 laptop in Ubuntu 12.04. Various websites and forums suggests manual installation (i.e. downloading driver from the official website and compile it). During installation, there is an error and this is the log:

Dual boot (Ubuntu 12.04 x64 & Win 7 Pro x64) grub menu error: "Invalid EFI file path"
location: ubuntuforums.com - date: October 3, 2013
Hi all, I'm new to Ubuntu/linux and I'm trying to fix a problem I'm having with the Grub menu.
I have Windows 7 Pro (x64) and Ubuntu 12.04 (x64) installed on separate 120GB SSDs.
I installed Ubuntu first and have its EFI entry listed as first in my boot settings, which loads
Grub properly, but when I choose my Win 7 entry I get the error message: "Invalid EFI file path",
and it returns to the menu. Ubuntu and all the other options work properly, and when I change
the Boot order to my Win 7 drive, Windows 7 boots properly by itself.
I ran boot-repair and by using the recommended settings and clicking 'no' for when it
asks whether my 120GB disk is removable (presumably it was referring to my Win 7 drive),
I was met with another error message:
GPT detected. Please create a BIOS-boot partition (> 1 Mb unformatted file system, bios_grub
flag). This can be performed via tools such as GParted. Then try again. Alternatively you can retry
after activating the [Separate/boot/efi

Dual Boot Windows 7, Ubuntu 12.04, Raid 0
location: ubuntuforums.com - date: March 26, 2013
Hi everybody, I'm currently using Linux Mint, and I've set it up with raid 0, and it's been an absolute nightmare. I had Ubuntu 12.04 setup in raid 0 and never had any related problems with it, so I'm switching back to Ubuntu. My question is, I need to have Windows 7/Ubuntu 12.04 dual boot. Before I start this process, I was wondering if there's anything special I should know to avoid headaches. Questions below:
1. Which should I install first.
2. If I install Windows 7 first, Do I just set the Raid 0 up in the bios, and will Ubuntu still work if I do it that way?
3. I'm pretty sure I use the 12.04 alternate dvd, but just making sure.
4. Will I have to do anything special with grub since it's raid 0.
Thanks in advance, my specs are below.
two 1tb WD Caviar Black HDD's
64 bit OS on both.
