How to install flash player 11.2 and Air 3.2 on FLash CS5.5
location: linuxexchange.com - date: April 24, 2012
So how I do that - couldn't find any info on adobe's site..
Here is what I've done:
downloaded playerglobal11_2.swc from Adobe
created folder Adobe/Adobe Flash CS5.5/Common/Configuration/Players/FP11.2, renamed the downloaded swc to playerglobal.swc and put it inside that folder
inside Adobe/Adobe Flash CS5.5/Common/Configuration/Players duplicated FlashPlayer10_2.xml, called it FlashPlayer11_2.xml and edited following lines
<player id="FlashPlayer11.2" version="13" asversion="3">
<name>Flash Player 11.2</name>
<playerDefinitionPath as2="$(UserConfig)/Classes/FP10;$(UserConfig)/Classes/FP9;$(UserConfig)/Classes/FP8;$(UserConfig)/Classes/FP7" as3="$(AppConfig)/ActionScript 3.0/FP11.2/playerglobal.swc" />
Now when I start flash I can choose to publish to Flash Player 11.2 from drop down menu, when I publish it (ctrl+F12) in browser with this code on first keyframe:
var stage3d = new Stage3D();
How to install flash player for 64bit Ubuntu 10.04
location: ubuntuforums.com - date: June 16, 2011
I'm a begginner,new at the forum and I'm trying Ubuntu for the first time.
I did install Ubuntu 10.04 64-bit at my Dell Inspiron 1721 laptop.
Well I did some installations via Ubuntu software center only, and I'm not that familiar with the terminal.
Hope you guys can help me with that.
The first thing I need is the Flash Player to be able to visualize videos on Firefox.
I'm not shure if there is a bug related to video in this version of Ubuntu, if so I could try another one as I'm just starting to use Linux and Ubuntu and it wouldn't be a problem to restart it all if this could solve this and future problems.
So .. I've just downloaded a preview release for Flash Player with native suport for native Linux 64-bit at Adobe. it is called "Flash Player Square" and seems to be unstable, a Beta version.
I have no idea what to do with it ... (laughs) how to open, execute etc.
Thanks so much and sorry if I'm asking at the wrong forum.

HOW TO: Easily install Flash Player 9 Firefox Plugin
location: ubuntuforums.com - date: June 1, 2008
After working on this all morning, I have finally found a way to install Flash Player 9 (firefox plug-in) in a couple minutes with no scripts or manual configuration.
1. Go to a website that requires flash player (not youtube). I personally used www.denveroutlaws.com
2. If it asks you to install missing plug-ins (showing the little puzzle piece thing) click on it.
3. choose Flash Player (9) and hit next.
4. It should automatically download and install.
P.S. If the website doesn't show the puzzle piece, refresh might make it show.

Ok, with the recent release of the native version of 64 bit flash player for Linux (and Ubuntu Linux), this post may seem obsolete... I'm just keeping some useful info !
1) Experiencing troubles ? Be sure to remove previous existing versions of flash player: type in terminal, string by string:
sudo apt-get remove --purge flashplugin-nonfree gnash gnash-common mozilla-plugin-gnash
sudo apt-get remove --purge swfdec-mozilla libflashsupport nspluginwrapper iceape-flashplugin
sudo apt-get remove --purge iceweasel-flashplugin mozilla-flashplugin firefox-flashplugin
sudo apt-get remove --purge xulrunner-flashplugin midbrowser-flashplugin xulrunner-addons-flashplugin
sudo rm -f /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/npwrapper.libflashplayer.so
sudo rm -f /usr/lib/iceweasel/plugins/npwrapper.libflashplayer.so
sudo rm -f /usr/lib/firefox/plugins/npwrapper.libflashplayer.so
sudo rm -f /var/lib/flashplugin-nonfree/npwrapper.libflashplayer.so
sudo rm -f ~/.mozilla/plugins/npwrapper.libflashpla
