eee pc ubuntu grub bootloader error 22
location: linuxquestions.com - date: January 26, 2009
I have the eee pc 1000h, and on it I successfully installed ubuntu 8.10. However, because the wireless would not work, I figured I should put ubuntu eee on it. Because the netbook has no cd drive, I used a program that allowed me to boot off an SD card. STUPIDLY, I deleted the old ubuntu partition and ran the program again with ubuntu eee on the SD card. Of course, with all the ubuntu files deleted, I get the GRUB error 22. I am trying to avoid buying a usb cd drive at all costs, so all ideas on how to fix this problem would be very much appreciated.
So, is there anything that I can do apart from obtaining an XP recovery disc and buying a usb cd drive?

Dual boot Ubuntu/windows installation USB stick
location: ubuntuforums.com - date: August 20, 2013
Finally after a long time, I can create an installation USB stick for Ubuntu (the easy one) and Win XP (not so easy and yes I did kill my recovery partition) for my Acer Aspire One and currently have both running again. To keep things interesting though, I was wondering if there is a way to create one USB stick with some sort of a dual boot setup so I can install both OS's.
12.10 Windows Installer not loading
location: ubuntuforums.com - date: February 19, 2013
I download the wubi.exe for the windows installation to try ubuntu in dual boot but it never loads.
i have run as admin, and redownloaded it.
Update: I troubleshooted it and it says is an Incompatible Application

I've just downloaded the windows installer, but before I proceed, theres a few things I want to be sure of;
1) I only have one drive on my laptop, which has Vista installed on it, but I want to keep vista, and dual boot it with Ubuntu. Does the installer simply create a new partition from the free space, leaving my install of Vista untouched, or does it overwrite it?
2) I have a 64-Bit system - is this a problem when using the Windows Installer? I saw 64 options for the disc images, but no option was given for the windows installer.
Also, whats the minimum ammount of space I should have to install ubuntu onto?
Windows installation error GPT partition
- date: April 28, 2013
I am using Ubuntu-12.04 - 64 bit on my Lenovo G580 i5 laptop.
I have googled how to install window 7 after installing ubuntu and found out couple of good posts.
I have re-sized my partition table and made space for window 7 (Screenshot attached).
But when I try to install window7 (both 64 bit and 32 bit) it gives an error that:
Windows cannot be installed on this disk. The selected disk is of the GPT partition style
I have searched and found out about UEFI and GTP stuff (which is beyond my understanding), and found out that either I have to use Gparted and create new Partition table or have to format my hard drive.
I don't want to mess up my ubuntu installation, because I have very important data and settings on it.
